@DrewM01 But that's my point, it wasn't about "business" at that point. He's already terrorized them, he shot her husband, and she's screaming on the floor, he was enjoying it. Personally, it just solidified how despicable these people are. It was gratuitous.
@themi90 Lol I guess that's why he's so effective. BTW I'm not a "bro", maybe that's why you all aren't as bothered by watching a woman get punched in the face as I am lol.
It's not that Furio is particularly tougher than anybody; dude's from Naples, Italy, the HOME of the Mafia. He's not concerned with the silly bullshit that Paulie or Chris care about. Furio is all business FIRST.
@AbcadefGhiJklman The Sicilian Mafia was founded in the mid-19th Century; The Camorra was founded in the 18th, and was believed to be descended from a 14th Century Spanish criminal organization called the Garduna.
@AbcadefGhiJklman Maybe 1000 years ago, back when they had legions of knights willing to die for them. Now they're more like the Wal-Mart of religious institutions.
(Tony's thoughts).....a woman crying, the sound of gunfire, a man groaning in pain and cussing...music to my ears and top it off with a cigar, and a debt collected...ahhhhhh life is good.
I would have LOVED to see what Furio would have done in the war against Phil/New York. He reminds me of Luca Brasi from 'The Godfather,' a guy that's so tough you could send him after the entire enemy family by himself and just let him kick ass.
@jksonny same here. He is the kinda guy who would not go down WITHOUT a fight. And if he is going down....you KNOW he is gonna take out at least 4 guys with him!
My favorite is that Tony tells him that theres a buzzer to get into the office under the desk but Furio just smashes the door open.

@TheBigPugs By "buzzer" he means that there is a GUN, which he takes for himself.

Haha, Tony gave Furio a baseball bat but Furio had his own piece of pipe to get the job done. What a badass.

Punching the woman was totally unnecessary, it changed nothing.
suledrake 2 weeks ago
@suledrake It solidified his "I mean business" attitude. Furio wasn't a feminist. He was serious when it came to doing his job for the mob.

one of my many favourite soprano scenes, and to think that the sopranos was a story about husband and wife falling apart rather than a mob series
