You're wrong. The "farthest star" is just an image of our earth. We reach the farthest star out in space but this way we won't understand the earth. We should change the world into a paradise (we turned into hell until now) and with this reach the farthest star which means the thing living creatures want and cannot get. Easily one of my favorites off of Judgement. I saw them live in Montreal for their promo tour for this CD and it was easily the best concert I'd ever been to.
I'd probably have left out the 'meteor' bits though, as this song really has nothing to do with the world being wiped out from a massive disaster, but more a warning that humans need to work together rather than fight each other. We hold limitless potential, whether for good or evil is yet to be seen.
