It's actually written in Science of Survival somewhere that criminals (i.e. 1.1s and other residents of the low end of the tone scale) will attribute behaviours to others that they themselves are guilty of, to deflect blame form themselves. Thus the "what are your crimes?" thing.
Also, another quote was something to the effect that total freedom would actually be total slavery, and yet we have "The Bridge to Total Freedom".
Hubbard was rubbing their faces in it, and they have no idea.

you ever wonder why there are no scientology centers in the impoverished or otherwise poor parts of the world. In America scientology centers are always in touristy or otherwise well to do neighborhoods. same goes for Europe. Aren't churches built to help the underpriveleged, not take advantage of them. The US government and several others do recognize it as one and they are granted tax exemption. so one (scientologist) could make a legitimate argument that it is a religion
Having said that I absolutely think it's more of a cult than a religion but lets face it..all major organized religions started out as a cult

Not every religion started as a cult. The old religions, politheistic ones may have started as a contiunation of prehistoric beliefs that gained complexity. I doubt that judaism started as a cult, in the same sense as christianity.
The point is, even as a cult, christianity have the "true" purpose of saving people, just as islam, whereas Scien makes profit it's higher purpose. Rarely new cults are based on spirituality. As such, they are more of a totalitarian movement than a religion.
