@L2cxw5fZ7Y Kurt didn't put pop into nevermind because bleach wasn't successful by major label standards. They were playing polly in 89', and the only reason nevermind has more hooks is because he always liked that kind of music. About a girl is about as pure a pop a song you can get (he listened to meet the beatles for three hours before he wrote it) and its on bleach.
