  • I almost never use these. They're expensive, take a longggg time to build, too slow to really deploy at the front and not really that impressive when they actually get there.

  • they are very good units if you use them correctly, but you can loose them in no time if you get sloppy

  • those are verry good in defense combinated with turets

  • They screwed up. The Sentinel has a Lascannon (wtf?) but they call it it a Multi-Laser, the Heavy Weapons Team has a Multi-Laser but they call it a Lascannon? Big mistake.

  • Well, the autocannon is the best thing is the heavy weapons team arsenal for the them.

    Heavy bolter only works for infantry, if you used it against any of the two, they'd heal faster than you'd damage them.

    Autocannons and lascannons do good-ish damage against Daemon_high armor: the avatar and bloodthirster.

  • i use them alot, i was able to hold a 3 v 1 game for 3 hours with just a blockade of those + baneblade+ basilisks+ leman russel and karsikans eventually they broke through (i was playing on kaser lituin

  • are you serious why didnt you re-enforce the frontline or prepare a second front to let the others retreat behind to heal and then destroy the enemy who's army you destroyed defending god some people are dum

  • I tried that for the first 20 mins then it gets to the point when Req was an issue and well... guess my fault on my part my baneblade got stuck... i had about 6 heavy weapons team to start with while I had a Karseken and a cammand squad. I hated the population cap, but, it was funny, i rushed an army of guardsmen at the space marines (they got owned in like... no time) then as eash squad died a heavy weapons team would spawn for every squad that died. anyway, they freakin dropped dreadnaughts

  • yeh i see how yu got screwed ther but yu shud av put up a division of leman russ inline with the heavy weapons and sent a line of basalisk behind it all and ther yu go an indestructable wall really

  • if your baneblade gets stuck tell it to bombard your other buildings

    however i`m disappointed.not of the heavy wep crews,but because each old race had a unit update in WA,and one now,so thats 2,while the IG only has this one.i would have loved 2 see storm troopers.u know,the ones who can deepstrike and infiltrate and carry hellguns and meltas.that would kick much vehicle ass.

  • they do have stormtroopers, theyre called "kasrkins" and they do carry hellguns, but they cant have meltaguns, but i think they may do in the expansion, if you look at some of the screenshots, some of the heros get what look like meltaguns.

    and kasrkins cant deep strike (god knows i love deep striking them on the tabletop game)

  • they make a mod that gives kasrkin meltas. they work extremely well on pretty muck any armoured target.

  • Um...they're already in the game. Kasrkin and Stormtroopers are the same thing. The only difference is the Kasrkin are Cadian Elite troopers

  • they remind me of the GI's in red alert 2

  • well finally the IG have some infintry-based anti-tank i mean i always be IG and i have a hard time taking down vehicles. sentinels do good work but they are so weak in defense making them very vunerable.

  • Orks could suck, they only have those flash gitz to help now... not that it would make a lot of difference for them, but i think orks have always been kinda overpowered...

  • @zadrok93 Ya, but they suck at range, same argument as tau being overpowered at range, but they suck in melee, its all balanced out

  • Kasrkin do fine against necrons. Why the hell do IG need heavy weapon teams for them?

  • Anti tank more than anything... i mean, kasrkins vs predator, who wins? considering for some reason there is no meltagun in the game at all for some reason, the IG need a infantry based anti tank

  • Dark crusade limited Kasrkins. They can only have one squad now.. so heavy weapons team would probably be a good idea... but their not as strong in the video... an ork boss killed 2 squads of slugga boys then a boss came and killed the heavy weapons team... then I got swarmed and lost :(

  • well, lets just say you were fighting a enemy, like the necrons, wouldent you want as much guns and soldiers as possable? i sure as hell would love to have those toys to play with. heheh,

  • That's because Necron tend to get back up with alarming frequency unless slain by heavy weapons, close combat weapons, or artillery attacks, right?
