  • Yeah, I always did love this song. Thanks for listening.

  • Amen! God is still on the throne, and in full control. Beautiful song, God bless. 5*

  • Yes he is. and May god continue to bless you to.

  • Roberta Martin wrote God is still on the throne...but in technicality, God Specializes was originally written as a hymn, with a few different words...Gloria Griffin wrote the gospel arrangement and gospelized verses to it...

  • she did God Specializes...many people think Roberta Martin wrote, but she didn't. Roberta sang it alot, but Gloria worte it...

  • My Grandma use to play this song while cooking one of her wonderful dinners.Well she's somewhere around God's throne now..ya'll be cool.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • Gloria didn't write 'God Specializes." The slow part was an old Salvation Army hymn -- check out Mahalia's version under the title 'Have You Any Rivers." Gloria did add the up-tempo chorus. Likewise "God is Still on the Throne" was an old congregational song, adapted and updated. Many famous gospel "compositions" are actually old wine in new bottles.

  • I believe Gloria Griffin wrote this one right? I thought I saw it credited to her somewhere...I know she wrote "God Specializes".

  • Yeah, I believe she did. I think it was credited to her. You must have read what I thought I did, i think. but i'm gonna check it out again for myself, just to be sure. Beautiful song this is. lol.
