I always loved this song. The video could have been better, though. At least they were doing something positive. No hate against the video and participants at all. I just wish more would have been put into it. I will always love Nitro praise music.
Great I finally get to comment. I remember wanting to hear some great Christian dance music back in the early 90's. And you guys were definitely NOT IT! This particular song is probably their best attempt. I could have done 10 times better with my old Korg X5 at the time. Anyway, here you go kiddies, an example of what REAL dance music should sound like: ht tp://w w w.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt7OXs2Xkrc
@dreamsoflove15 Fine I'll bite. I desperately needed some high quality Christian dance music in the 90's, and believe me, I listened to every christian dance song I could find. "Nitro Praise" was probably the strongest attempt as far as Christian stuff was concerned. But compared to the secular stuff it's weak, very weak. I am not exaggerating when I say I could whip up this exact same sounding tune in Reason in about 1-2hrs and it would sound identical.
@dreamsoflove15 But even though I'm a decent musician, it would take me weeks to create a song like "Hydro Aquatic - Beyond Horizon" and make it sound similar. So basically "Nitro Praise" is a half hearted attempt at creating dance music. I remember one of their CD covers read something like "We are proud to present great Christian songs with the energy of contemporary dance music that young people enjoy...." I was facepalming non stop! This didn't sound like a labor of love....
@dreamsoflove15 ....It sounded like a bunch of stuffy businessmen sat down to find a way to make money off the christian market which still to this day has ZERO decent dance music. "N-Soul" (the businessmen) hired the thugs who played at their local churches, and of course, they wouldn't know how to make good dance music if it bit them in the butt. Who the heck writes "....with the energy of contemporary dance music that young people enjoy...." when they are supposed to be doing a labor of love
@dreamsoflove15 and to add insult to injury, they couldn't even come up with original words. Instead, they decided to remix every single classic hymn to a mediocre dance beat. And to add more injury to that insult, look at the way they portray themselves in this video? The dude looks like a gang banger, and the 2 girls look like prostitutes. This all reeks of some stuffy middle aged men trying to "fit in" to the young crowd". What kind of testimony does this show?
@dreamsoflove15 I would be embarrassed to show this song to someone, not only because the music is so weak, but the words are ripped off a well known hymn, and the people in the video are acting like they just "stepped outta da hoodz yo!". I would much more prefer to show other christians a secular song like "Joee - Angel". 10 times better production, original words that came from the guy's heart (it's a song about his dead brother), and he looks like a normal guy singing when he's up on stage!
@dreamsoflove15 Actually there is one christian dance artist who, even though his music is still weak, it's much better than "Nitro Praise". I think his name is Erik Erikson, and goes by Ultrabeat (not the secular Ultrabeat, totally different person). Search for "Ultrabeat - Pure Heart", and it actually is listenable christian dance! But christian dance music is a distant goal when secular artists like Nitrous Oxide and Hydro Aquatic are cleaning every other dance artist's clocks at the secular
@dreamsoflove15 ....level. It's a grave injustice that this weak christian song has 16,800 views, and an awesome tune like "Hydro Aquatic - Beyond Horizon" only has 1000 views, when the song is literally 20 times better!!
These f***ing E-heads took so many pills, they thought they saw God. WTFuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck?
Yes this is really Nitro Praise you were asking here if it is.Hope that helps answer your question. This song sounds good..Take care.Nitro Praise is a great, cool group and sounds great.God bless you all!
snotbog God gives people many differnent talents to use and if God chose this guy to turn Christian songs into praise so be it . He's only doing the Father's will. sounds like your soul needs to be rejuvenated and if think this is weird you might be in the wrong line of buisness and watch how you might judge someone don't cast a stone if you can't be the first one to throw it :0 God loves ya :)
When I hear this song, I can feel the Holy Spirit reacting in my soul, wow!
This song is A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y pleasing our Father! He LOVES this guy.
Because this guy is just doing what his FATHER has ordered him:
Loving him with all his heart, body and strength.
Why are some people always complaining? Have they ever received the real love, peace and joy from the Father Himself? It is His love that fullfilles the law, don't forget!
Just curious, what do find so awesome about this video? How does this video glorify God with all this guy's weird facial expression and such? Looks like this guy's pissed off to me. Would Jesus express these words in this fashion?
I always find arguments that start with "At least I'm" or "At least they (he)" to be ones that try to justify something that's either wrong or at least "lame". I don't think this guy's sinning and I suspect his heart may be in the right place. But in the end, we have a guy singing a praise song to a teckno beat and mugging all sorts of weird and angry facial expressions in the camara.
The Israelites brought deformed animals into the temple for a sacrifice and God was not pleased.
Don't judge them? One of the biggest misunderstanding amongst Christians has to do with judging. The bible doesn't tell us not to judge. It tells us not judge in hypocrisy (unrighteously). Every one judges every day. All comments on youtube are mini-judgements. The bible says that we are first to remove the log from our own eye and then to judge only as we would also be judged.
Notice my initial statement was one of questions, not statements. I was asking... Yours was an admonishment.
Example: Say you're in a bad area of a large city late at night trying to get to your car and decide to take a short cut to your car down a dark alley. Upon entering, you see a bunch of guys wearing gang-type clothes. Would you keep going or turn around? If you answered the later, do you know what you just did? You judged somebody.
I never told you "what to say" but was only sharing what "I had to say" with you. I have found that statements (they are really statements structured like questions) that start with "Who are you..." to be very similar to statements that start with "At least I'm not...."
You say these peoples hearts are "in the right" place". Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. I work in the professional music business, including w/ many Christian artists and often times their hearts aren't in the right place.
What I find most interesting is that nobody has addressed my original question: What is so awesome about this video and how does this glorify God? Turn the lame teckno beat off and just watch this guy's weird wanna-be-gang-like facial and hand gesturings into the camera. What's with all that ("You gotta problem with me") hand/face gesturing he's doing??
I'm sorry, it's bizarre and not at all in line with what he's singing (or trying to) about. It's just plain weird.
This video is a big MISS for me. Facial experssions a bit scary (weird). Exactly what kind of spiritual fruit is this in your face Christian "bad boy" thing evidence of?
Sure looks to me like we got somebody copying the world; albeit poorly I might add.

@future303 You don't know what their best attempt was, because you haven't listened to all their music. So probability is a moot point here...
It doesn't matter what or how they sound like, it's all in what's in their hearts...
So, although you are glad you got to comment, I wish you had kept your opinion to yourself...
