I was born and raised in Detroit and hunted in michigan for 20 years before moving to england 11 years ago I never realized what a bunch of bad hunters there are in michigan untill i moved. Unfortunatly our english counter part are way more skilled and stalking, shooting, trailing, and cleaning deer then ourselves. I have been hunting with a party of 8 for the last 3 years we have shot 103 deer. Everythings is written down. Of those deer 1 miss 1 gut shot and none lost !

Seriously, I was hoping the buck got up and kicked or gouged one of you. Either let the deer die from a distance or put him down quickly. For that type of habitat that is a baby deer. Let them walk and they will get much bigger.

@lewandlo Super Hunter????I have seen numerous large bucks taken in the UP, if you never let a buck walk you will never see large bucks. Let that one walk and how big would he have been the next year or the year after that. Real Tree guided hunts? I don't give anyone credit who shoots a young deer like that, the land that you are on looks great, why kill a small buck??? Doesn't matter the age of the person who is hunting, just let small ones walk. I hunt hard and shoot big bucks, that's all
