If you time the laser JUST before you hit the ground, the lazer shoots w/out making a sound, and you can immediately attack as soon as you hit the ground. It's won me a few matches.

Every character can cancel their dash attack with an up smash at the very beginning of it. Only a few characters get a boost at the very beginning of the dash attack that carries over to the up smash. This is how Cpt Falcon shortens the distance to his running upsmash.

Every character can cancel the beginning frames of their dash attack with their up smash.

Not every character moves forward quick enough to slide when the dash attack cancels the up smash.

Captain Falcon goes slower on the dash attack than his run. That's why I said this is what Falcon mains do to SHORTEN the distance to the sliding up smash.

@JamTheKid Just because it may not be that useful, you can still do a DACUS. With Link, Falco, Snake, Sheik, Wario, and Wolf, you can travel far with DACUS. Yes, you can with Falco. If you do Falco's DACUS fast enough, you wont hear him use his dash attack noise. If he doesn't, you go pretty far. :)
