I think he means if you play an opponent face to face, and not over the internet. I have played reversi/othello for years and prefer playing on a real board. I'm a very strong player, and sometimes people accuse me of cheating online, but at the end of the day I can back up my ability by playing against tournament players face to face. The software you are using is a good tool for learning parity, mobility etc so probably not a bad thing to have really, Keep playing and you'll pick it up.
Hey, i see what you are doing. You are two games of reversi simultaneously on opposite sides. The truth is, if one of those side is a really good player who can beat the other side. You will end up loosing when going against that player. Otherwise, you will only have a 50% chance of winning.
holy shit.. im so confused by what youre saying... but.... hes not playing too different matches.. the right side is a program hes using to show him what next move he should make.. almost like 'ask madden'. he sees the persons move on the left side, plots it in the right and the program shows him how to win.. not very complicated
no... he is playing against someone in the left window, and playing against the computer on the right window. On the left window, he is white, right window, the computer is white, and he is basically copying every move the computer makes on the right, and putting them in the game on the left. All I am saying is; if the computer on the right sucks, than he will end up loosing. But if the computer is good, and the other player is also doing the same thing his doing, then its 50/50 win chance.
