  • did you play directly from the monitor+1600? I bought one and wanted to hook up my PS2 and was hearing a lot about input lag. Did you experience anything like this?

  • Ray,

I actually was using analogue output at the time, so, I had a way to play on a TV and capture at the same time. At this point, though, I'm currently using HDMI for the output (have a new HDTV it is running on).

If you get a 1600, drop me another comment and know how you like it (it's actually a really nice card). :-)

    Cheers!

  • Thanks for the reply. I just got mine today and it works fantastic, very easy to set up and great quality. Mine did not come with a remote however, so that was disappointing. I'll try the RCA connection and let you know how it goes.

  • K, the RCA connection has input lag of about 2 seconds, and the display color pallet isn't very good. Definitely cannot game this way.

Btw, what program are you using for TV? I'm using WinTV atm and was wondering if Media Center was any better. Thanks brah

  • Ray,

I was actually using WinTV for capture, but, as I said, was playing the game in real-time on an external display (I used a VCR to "fake split" the output, you see).

Hope that clears things up. :-)

    Thanks!

  • Ray,

Also, just so you're aware -- Setting the "Widescreen Mode" option in the X360's options screen is why everything's in 16-by-X aspect mode. --Hopefully that might alleviate some more confusion for you in the future.

    Thanks again!
