Actually... the speed of the augers is entirelly dependant on the design of the machine- if you notice this is a very powerfull machine for its size and throws snow great, but since its small in comparison to the large airport snowblowers, the machine can only intake so much. Compare the size of this machine to an airport one and you will see why this one moves slower- it is small because it probably needs to be in this application.

Very slow auger....needs more rpm's to be more effective. Nice double auger though.
