Try using WMCapture to record if you do not have stereo mix. Use FRAPS if you are recording game.

stereomix is the same of waveout mix or whatyouhear so if we don't have it, just can't select it and can't get to record what comes through the speakers, i recommend those people switch to windows vista and download vista realtek HD auido drivers and they should be able to record video and audio with fraps in vista (like i've been doing for more than 1 year) look at my videos here in you tube

All videos are a lie!!! I know how to though. To record sound, open the Sound tab on HyperCam2, then fill in the box that says Record Sound. Easy! All the other sick videos are LIES!

You have 2 options(that I know of)..

1.You could try putting a mic up to your speaker and recording like that. You would do exactly what I did in the video(besides checking wave out mix, since you don't have it.) Then once you open the volume control check the box next to select under Microphone. 2. Or you could make a HyperCam video without sound, save it, then go to Windows Movie Maker, and import you video and your audio file and click file and then click Save Movie File..
