Such a shame that when Slade began to evolve, it seemed that everyone turned their back on them. Some great vocal here with some excellent musicianship. Bombed in the UK but it did peak at #21 in Ireland - something I found and added to wikipedia some time ago. Interestingly, this song was planned to 20 minutes long originally but the idea was scrapped as they didn't think Slade fans would appreciate it.

Slade and T Rex (Bolan) were kind of similar in their careers. Early Wilderness Years, re-invention HUGE SUCCESS, then the inevitable slide away from the top. This was a very good song, in 1976, and after this period both Slade and T Rex struggled to be on the radar. Sadly Bolan passed away in '77, and Slade had post success wilderness years until Reading '80. They had a few more years of hits and misses after that. Maybe Bolan would have also found a mojo, if he'd lived. Both legendary now!

Found this in my fathers box of tapes when I was about 5 years old (in 1977) and was hooked. Though there are songs I do not like from Slade, there are still soooo many that are about the greatest ever. Hey this is a cheezy video, it is badly done and was probably shot on a limited budget but the song and the album was great. In fact it was probably their last good album, too bad the band couldn't capitalize on it. I saw the NOBODY's FOOLS tour in 1976 in Canada, great show, one of the best I have ever seen. But the video is still cheezy IMHO.
