They played in Brooklyn last weekend before the Interpol tour and were great. A little rougher sound now without the benefit of Claudia but they have a talented drummer who punched the music forward all night. A great band and terrrific fun to watch!
She perrformed at UCSB. I was working on event staff. She walked past me during her rehearsal and I said she sounded amazing and she said "Thanks. Awesome :)" ^_^
@protobuster Yes, saw them open up for both Blonde Redhead and M83 and they don't disappoint.....the guitarist for the Cocteau Twins helped them produce this album....i think his name is Robin Guthrie
she pronounces it correctly... it's like "ka-BAWL" for some places but "KAY-bal" for others... Just like the sound of "bottle" or "mad" in usa and in england, its a matter of accent
@motodude1 Agreed. I'd like this song a whole lot better if they pronounced it correctly. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but even if it was, that would mean that the chorus essentially a pun that's pretty pointless. And the spellcheck in my brain rages...
Just saw on Fallon late show. Maybe I was mesmerized by vocalist - wow - but there was no 'twin', wat's the story someone? Very very good on 1st impression. Does bring to mind Cocteau, Lush. LOVE it, want more...
I've seen them three times. the last time, the second twin wasn't with them and there was no explaination. It was still a good show, but I'm still wondering if the band is in tact.
Woah...I almost got sick watching that video with all the camera movement, lol. Rollercoaster is right. Or maybe I just had my eyes too close to the screen. Anyways, great song, I love this band. The lyrics are amazing too. You can dance to the music but at the same time can really sit down and think about what they're saying.
Saw MBV in 1991 along with some other great bands and this is right up there-I'm 44 and so maybe don't search for new music as avidly as some of you;but this,Secret machines, the XX-absolutely amazing bands around at the moment.
I love them! It's too bad that "Disconnect From Desire" debuts at #200 on Billboard's album chart, as that will likely be the peak position. If KEXP isn't playing "My Cabal", I'm requesting the hell out of it!
The exquisite three-piece will play two exclusive Australian shows in Sydney and Melbourne, in addition to their performance at Splendour in the Grass 2010. Don’t miss your chance to be one of the first to see School of Seven Bells perform their new album live.

well if you were going to analyze it, the video is actually shit, both artistically and in narrative. But since your username is bulletproofego, i might as well have not replied.
Cocteau Twins came to mind. Robin Guthrie did a remix for one of School of Seven Bell's singles. He also produced Lush's Spooky and early EPs so that is most likely the connection.
Another great song from this Amazing Band...the twin with the straight hair looks like one of the Corr's..a bit..Sorry, that's totally irrelevent to the song I know...
