  • my favourite sviib song

  • awesome video! sweet song 2!!!

  • Everything about this video is just delightful and soothing. =)

  • Guitars like Cocteau Twins, but the singer not as good like Ms.Frazer......so nice shoegaze band.

  • they remind me of cocteau twins, great to hear shoegaze's still around!

  • i think its a name, dude

  • does anyone knows where these girls are from? I mean they look like spanish or latin kind of stylo !

  • Channel 11 song

  • IT SOUNDS LIKE "THE CURVE"

  • every time i see her. ale i love you, and my being is only for you. all that it encompasses is all for you.

  • Isn't it pronounced "Kuh-Ball"?

  • @kleindaddy Yeah, it is. Doesn't stop the song being awesome though!

  • alejandra, i would dedicate my being to you

  • They played in Brooklyn last weekend before the Interpol tour and were great. A little rougher sound now without the benefit of Claudia but they have a talented drummer who punched the music forward all night. A great band and terrrific fun to watch!

  • 15 people don't understand the artistic talent of SSB.

  • @WolfRyuji stfu i'm so sick of seeing this stupid "joke"

  • @hardmous

Stfu I can fly like a gazelle in the winter time.

  • @WolfRyuji I hope you fly so high that you pass out and fall to your death.

  • @hardmous

Too bad for you I have an astronaut suit. BIAAAAAAAATCH.

Zoopy doopy bow wow diggidy dong bing.

  • zoey deschanel in 500 day of summer

  • zoey deschanel

  • guitarist has amazing hair...

  • looks like i'm going to the Interpol a little after the doors open...I don't really like this...

  • @EMCowdrey ... yeah, they were SO boring live!!!! snoooooze. saw them in orlando!

  • @poppiesinoctober I was there too! lol

  • They opened the Interpol concert...... Nothing great live.

  • @Binbay55

    dude, they're fucking sick live

  • @RancidMilkDealer i know dude they opened for interpol on feb 5 2011 at the marquee and their show was sick

  • @Binbay55 yeah kind of a strange combination as well...

  • Twins :)

  • GOODness gracious.. that Lead singer is just TOO TOO cute-- and on top of it, she sings like an angel. Wonderful tune, also.

  • Meh. Interpol's definitely better. But I can tolerate this, I suppose.

  • If being born in Guatemala makes you white? then sure! ha ha

  • WTF! BEAUTIFUL! =D & here I thought white people were finished making good music HAHA

  • love this song and love the band, but this video gave me the spins. X(

  • I think I liked them better than Interpol, I didn't know Juliette Binoche was the lead singer, far out!

  • I heard they're opening for Interpol and I was really hoping they'd be good. This their only song I've listened to but I'm a bit disappointed.

  • She perrformed at UCSB. I was working on event staff. She walked past me during her rehearsal and I said she sounded amazing and she said "Thanks. Awesome :)" ^_^

  • @HYPBEAST92 How did she pronounce ":)"?

  • @HYPBEAST92 I hope that's not the highlight of your life. Really, there is an entire world out there. Try it. With better music.

  • @badish85 that's not the highlight of my life. Never said it was. I just thought it was pretty cool.

  • Just ordered Alpinisms, I urge you to do the same :D

  • I saw you guys at UCSD opening for Interpol.!!!!

wow, u blew my mind.!!! tis song is very very legit live.!!!

    u guys rock.!!!!! :)

  • @konekochanluv

It was UCSB. And damn, youre right, this song is fucking amazing live.

  • her bangs are puffy!

  • is alpinisms a good album???

  • @protobuster Yes, saw them open up for both Blonde Redhead and M83 and they don't disappoint.....the guitarist for the Cocteau Twins helped them produce this album....i think his name is Robin Guthrie

  • if the Beatles and the Bangles had a baby.........just saying!!

  • Too drunk, this is given me the spins!

  • So lovely...

  • Awesome, but I hope they attribute My Bloody Valentine often and always...

  • They sound more like Lush than Cocteau Twins to me.

  • @imaginationunreal Lush is who I thought of too...

  • she pronounces it correctly... it's like "ka-BAWL" for some places but "KAY-bal" for others... Just like the sound of "bottle" or "mad" in usa and in england, its a matter of accent

  • I find myself a little bit in love with the singer. As that natural?

  • @mook3312 It as normal

  • such a beautiful song but someone needs to tell her that it's pronounced "ca-BAHL' not "CA-bel" :D

  • @motodude1 I think the prenounciation depends on where you're from, because it sounds absolutely fine to me

  • @EmilyEvanopsi

    ca·bal (kə bäl′, -bal′)

noun 1. a small group of persons joined in a secret, often political, intrigue; junta 2. the intrigues of such a group; plot

  • @motodude1 Agreed. I'd like this song a whole lot better if they pronounced it correctly. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but even if it was, that would mean that the chorus essentially a pun that's pretty pointless. And the spellcheck in my brain rages...

  • sound-influenced by snow-patrol

  • ethno-britpop from NY, or what? very nice.

  • My cable costs too much.

  • Wow! What an awesome video!

  • Just saw on Fallon late show. Maybe I was mesmerized by vocalist - wow - but there was no 'twin', wat's the story someone? Very very good on 1st impression. Does bring to mind Cocteau, Lush. LOVE it, want more...

  • @samextasy - The band's Facebook page that one of the twins, Claudia, left the band due to personal reasons in October.

  • i have come the screen 7 times today! What a girl...

  • I've seen them three times. the last time, the second twin wasn't with them and there was no explaination. It was still a good show, but I'm still wondering if the band is in tact.

  • @tropenator The band is but one of the sisters left...which is kind of a shame considering a key aspect of their music was the harmonies.

  • School of Seven Bells is like, Tegan and Sara on crack, was the first thing that went through my mind. I love them both though -

  • sounds like the bastard child of u2 and my bloody valentine sung by the corrs

  • good song.

that's not how you pronounce the word "cabal".

  • gosh. that's a bit special.

  • I like the lyrics, the sound is okay, the guitar is boring and the video is nauseating to watch.

Would be nice if the song changed rythmn a bit as well.

In comparison to their other song i've heard and seen the vid for, Windstorm it pales in comparison. Windstorm is i think their best song by far.

  • don't be gross.

I would court them individually, then lick them all over, like a gentleman.

  • If I could only take two things to desert island both of them would be those sisters. And I'd make them kiss.

  • @ezyroller Well supposedly they're both lesbian, so that's actually fairly possible.

  • Possibilities

  • HAGSTROM MANIA!!!! I have the same white swede .. love that guitar!!

  • Trtppy! :)

  • Woah...I almost got sick watching that video with all the camera movement, lol. Rollercoaster is right. Or maybe I just had my eyes too close to the screen. Anyways, great song, I love this band. The lyrics are amazing too. You can dance to the music but at the same time can really sit down and think about what they're saying.

  • Excellent music!!!

  • Great sound.cant wait to see them in IC on Sept 20th

  • The music is "water with sugar", but the girls is so lovely...

  • @clebercoxaroots water with sugar?

  • @sodypopspace haheahehae.. in Brazil "water with sugar" or translating: "água com açúcar" means that something is kinda boring.

  • Saw MBV in 1991 along with some other great bands and this is right up there-I'm 44 and so maybe don't search for new music as avidly as some of you;but this,Secret machines, the XX-absolutely amazing bands around at the moment.

  • I like

  • neat band, really good sound, quite beautiful visually too :)

  • I love them! It's too bad that "Disconnect From Desire" debuts at #200 on Billboard's album chart, as that will likely be the peak position. If KEXP isn't playing "My Cabal", I'm requesting the hell out of it!

  • I think i don't know any shoegazing song i dislike.

  • For such an amazing band they really have some shit cheap looking music videos.

  • @Pipehitting

Aye, but just wait till they are really famous!! Watch this space!!!

  • @mickpickering Lets hope so,

  • bellissimo

  • This is pure shoegazing love, if you ask me.

  • @kasuskasus

yeah, i know what are you talking about :)

  • Love the tune and the band; the vid makes me woozy indeed!

  • Great marriage of images and sound.

  • oh god. as beautiful as their luscious voices are, they are.. intimidatingly gorgeous.

the entire situation of just watching one of these videos is phenomenal.

  • Walking and woozy swaying with a guitar doesn't cut it for a video... gotta hit the strings at least a couple of times to keep from looking Karaoke.

  • @chazzarre shut it..they make good quality music

  • music for girls

  • Curtis was better, and better off with Secret Machines =[

  • great video, amazing song. I can't wait for something new from School of Seven Bells!

  • well if you were going to analyze it, the video is actually shit, both artistically and in narrative. But since your username is bulletproofego, i might as well have not replied.

  • @jaysin77 Habló el listillo bocazas

  • love this video!

  • very Lush!!

  • wow, i didn't notice the giant paper thing was changing colors every two seconds until like the fifth time i watched this O___O

  • jakie ma smutne oczy

  • I love the video! But it's kind of a shame that Claudia takes most of the main melody yet she doesn't get a lot of camera time :P

  • Aw, love what Allie's wearing. I'm obssessed with her collar....anyone know where it's from!?

  • good work with camera

  • Alejandra is a little cutier. :P

  • What a ending to a great album.

  • Allie & Claudia are from Miami.

I thought of Lush when I first heard the song.

  • Cocteau Twins came to mind. Robin Guthrie did a remix for one of School of Seven Bell's singles. He also produced Lush's Spooky and early EPs so that is most likely the connection.

  • Cool for someone fond of the Cocteau Twins like me.

  • Thats the first band that came to mind when I heard this song.

  • Where are these girls from?

  • Brooklyn i believe

  • From central america biaaaaaaaaaaaaach!

  • Majestically huge and gut- spinning!

  • love this song, cool video

  • Ben's got a twatty haircut. Sad. Clearly a requirement.

DO like the My Bloody Valentine esque quality to it though.

  • I have been addicted to this song for over a month now. I love those over-processed mbv-style backing coos on the chorus.

  • this is an excellent song..

  • absolutely amazing.

  • cool

  • Good song. Those twins have the looks to match their gorgeous voices, too.

  • Fantastic song, but the video could have been a lot more creative I think.

  • i love this band and i love their music.

  • Nice song- bad video.

  • very good

  • adorei...fazia tempo que não ouvia uma banda assim,,,desde dos anos 80...muito boa a sincronia!!!

  • My cabal is way better

  • Another great song from this Amazing Band...the twin with the straight hair looks like one of the Corr's..a bit..Sorry, that's totally irrelevent to the song I know...

  • hm, the one of bangs face is of a pale penelope cruz.

  • sry, nope

  • amazing

  • beautiful sound

  • is it possible to make love to a song?

  • I always have a soft spot for ethereal rock played well! *****

  • Psicodélico

  • Shoegaze Revival!

  • Your right. This sound is coming back. I love music like this because it takes me to a different place.

  • Depends on the music and what stage of the high they're in. Also, I may argue the position you're sitting in.

  • anyplace where the weed is good, nuff said.

  • dont think it ever stopped it just went under the radar.not alot of bands really hit that feeling.

  • saw them in brisbane a few weeks ago. Blissful

  • The Cocteau Twins sisters and it was produced by Robin Guthrie !!!

  • makes me feel as if i'm floating in a dream

  • Great song...love the vid!

  • great vid. saw this band in brighton - fan since then.

  • chant
