pretty good price for a car like this, costs cheaper than a civic sport, better performance and interior volume. 22.5 k for the spec v 21 grand flat for se-r (canadian pricing) I don't think it's fair to compare it to a speed 3 or an si since the si is priced at 27 k and the speed 3 is priced at 29k
um Sentra costs alot less... and out of cars that u mantioned it is in class with Civic, Lancer and Cobalt the non turbo 1 ofc... and it has more HP then any of 'em.
Just checked prices. A base model Spec-V starts at 21 grand. That is in the territory of the cars I listed, and a fully loaded model costs about as much as a fully loaded Mazdaspeed 3.
It's in the same price range as the many of the cars listed. I've already stated this. Ex: You can get a fully loaded mazdaspeed 3 for about the same price as a fully load Sentra Spec-V.
When I optioned one out on mazda's website, it was about 26 grand. This is more than the previous generation mazdaspeed 3, which was about 24 grand when I optioned it on their site, which was the same as a fully optioned Nissan SE-R Spec V. I got these prices from both Mazda and Nissan's sites. So either you pulled the 30 grand figure from your ass, or you're gettingt swindled.
Despite the jump in price, I'd still pick a mazdaspeed three over the Sentra, only with many of the non-performance options omitted, and with the mazdaspeed performance upgrade (290hp) and alloy wheels. Beyond that, I'll stick with my M Roadster.
If you want to say that the Speed3 and Spec V are the same price..You might as well say the 370Z, Maxima, and Altima are the same price while you're at it.
@Modified20062 Really? cause i have never heard of one blowing up that did the job right. I mean if you run stock fuel pump/injectors, stock plugs, no intercooler, no oil pressure gauge, no wideband, and never tune at all then yeah it will, but so would any other car. I know guys that have been running 15psi for years on b15s without a single problem. A b16 on Allsentra just dynoed 315whp at 9psi without a good tune. These cars are easy to pull good numbers out of.

omgz 200 hp? Well finally, just in time, because every other decent sport compact has at least 220 hp nowadays ...
Cobalt SS
Mazdaspeed 3
Subaru WRX
Mitsu Lancer
Civic SI
This is a big failboat for Nissan.

civic SI is 197 hp.
all others car are turbo too. sentra is not.
i don't agree your comparaison.

um I dunno where u live but in Canada very top SER is 26k while civic Si is 32, and Mazda speed 3 is 36... so it is cheaper
tashibas 2 years ago
Well you're definitely getting screwed over, that's for sure. The prices I listed are in Texas.

PukaMan,
The Cobalt SS is TURBOCHARGED, so is the Evo, Wrx/sti AND Mazdaspeed3. The regular Lancer is not better than the Spec V.
Lastly, the Civic Si makes less horses than the Spec V.
So your argument is very weak.
A turbo-ed Spec V blows any of these cars away.

You were talking about Horsepower.
And a fully loaded Spec V isn't in the same price range as the Mazdaspeed 3.
A fully loaded Speed3 is almost 30 thousand.

Are you living in the U.S.?
The MazdaSpeed3 came out to $26,410 without tax.
The Spec V is definitely not 26k.

Yeah, it does look like a puss I mean Prius from the back!

im with u, it looks like a prius wannabe
sirsentrasera333 4 years ago
Yeah, seriously. Nissan should have moved the taillights a little bit lower to the ground. That way, it won't look like too much of a Prius.
