Some things are missing, but it's intentionnal =P. I love this one though (seriously) ; it's slower and more relaxing (it flows better IMO too), but still addicting and catchy like the OST. Plus, the notes seem accurate and the percussions are effective to give some upbeatness and the instrument selection (and combos) is appropriate. Finally, everything is nicely balanced in volume.
Like some said ; simple but really enjoyable. Nice trip to the past! + favorite
You should get the latest mario paint composer, it has an arranger so different song files (ie each part of this song you used) will play back to back for a smooth recording.
I was going to use the typical "Falcon Punch!", but mtdhlite already took that comment. So I will say this: This is just more proof that insane tempos aren't needed to pull off a good song.
I've got another question which you might have answered before: Why don't you use MPC 2.0?

Why do you have so many parts? Having the part change so many times is really distracting and breaks the flow of the song.

This sounds EXACTLY like mine!

This actually uses the same midi as my train wreck. Look to the latter portions to see what I mean.

Ironically, 0:40 to 0:50 is pretty much the only part that I used the midi. ;__;
All the rest is by ear.

"I dug it out of my old, dead computer's backups so I decided I'd make a composition on it"
I just thought it would be cool to have a composition on MPC 1 because I never uploaded one when I still had it.
