@arechristoffer Hi that's a bit beyond the scope of that which I can answer here. Best bet is to contact us at bavsound dot com with the contact form there. It'll get to someone who can hopefully help you.
I learned that there are 2 types of DSP connectivity: analog (6-pin going into the CDC, like in no-DSP config) and digital (SPDIF coax).
My problem is that I have both connectors present and connected to the CDC. The coax goes to the AMP and the "6-pin" goes to the front of the car, together with the "3-pin" cable.
- How can I say which configuration I have?
- What is the distinction between DSP analog and no-DSP, if the same 6-pin config is applied?
hi , there , I have a question , I bouth a 2006 4.4i X5 And My Stereo Volume goes on and off every now and than. I took it to the dealer , thought there were gonn a fix it . and they told me my extended warranty does not cover audio compmonnents. and , they told me the problem is mY DSP Amplifer.... now , How Can I buy one and Can I change it my self . and 2nd how can I programm? The dealer asked me $1900 TO fix it....
@sarkaris It might be best to call our tech support on our website bavsound dot com to find out some options. We have amp upgrades planned but the actual release date is a bit uncertain.
Just purchased this product from you guys and was just wondering if it is necessary to disconnect the battery prior to installation? Will I need to reset/enter radio codes if I do?

Hi,
I own a 530i (12/2002) with DSP.

@cccpmd First unplug the coax connection (while the CD changer is playing). Does the sound continue? If so, you don't need the DSP adapter.
If the sound does not continue, you need the DSP adapter.
