question though, I have looked through about five of these talks in total now and I wanna know this. Osho claims that the old man is a controlled animal, and that no matter how much you control yourself you still have that anger and rage of violence. And this is true, but what is man to do other than control it?
@Soc245 Surrender to what is. In my view, it is the trying to control that gives rise to the problems in the first place. Stop trying to control things and see if you can be violent.
@panzerd18 I like what you are saying. Sometimes people that follow these kinds of leaders think they have to adopt a certain morality, that will make them "good". That has always been suspicious to me.
@Soc245 You release the anger. Nothing matters. There can be no cause for anger, but you will still be angry, so allow it to pass from you, and don't let it control you. Anger is a gateway to imbalance and a trap set to lure you back into the world of the discordant. Instead, become harmony.
Well, that what people want. Who want it ... love Osho, who don't want it... hate Osho. But... You have to make decision ! I think you all thought about this before... and you wait to this moment to enjoy yourself ??? Damn ! Why you don't believe in yourself ? wait till this ? So... it's not right.
I have never been so greatfull for been as sensitive as I am. Always people had said me that sensitivity is weakness. Thanks God for create me as I am a real person who cares about others.
I always thought my sensitivity to be a curse.. but society has made us all believe this.. it is the Opposite. Insensitivity is inhuman and destroys you. Thank You OSHO! I will embrace my sensitivity! It is but a gift of awareness and understanding.. sensitivity is a gift, not a curse. Insensitivity is the real curse.
But with a rosetree the more you cut it the more thankfully is to you, even if you take it from the ground and cut its root it will be grateful to you. @Drummur Yes, face it, feel it and let it go. Then there might be suffering, but it`s not you, who suffers, you just make the experience of suffering.
@vaumpy You probably value others opinion of yourself higher than your own opinion of yourself. Maybe you don't even have an opinion about yourself - you don't know yourself. You want to fit in, you want to be in a group. Meditate on yourself. Try to find where your insecurity comes from, and then face it. Know which parts of yourself you are unhappy with and embrace them as a part of yourself.
Other than that be knowledgable and search for knowledge.

somebody has to fight and die while you sensitive people sit around in blissful states.sensitivity has to be balanced and strength with a willingness to kill or be killed for your family and country.
johnt49 - your family is not defined by proximity to you but by the realization that your family is all of mankind. A child born in vietnam is no less your brother than the one who sits across the table from you at dinner. To harm another IS to harm your family. And for which country do you choose to die? - for the ideals that define a country today may not define it tomorrow. The point is to develop your sensitivity toward others so that your very being is transformed into one of love.
In my experience, bliss does not carry with it an inability to fight. However, the more there are people in the world who are blissful, the less there is a need for it. Don't mistake mediation for passivity.
So are you saying that growing up is a must? You have to grow outwardly. Technology, biology, money, riches, pverty, food, climate, civilizations, etc, etc... All that is outward and must grow up. But inside you. Fears, disorders, hate, anxiety, dispair, depression, so on... All that is psychological and it does not grow up. It can only stop. Growing old is mandatory but growing wise is optional.
Nobody seems to realize that we are not individuals but rather a part of the whole. We are literally the cosmos experiencing itself. We are the cosmos manifested as individual consciousnesses, but we are and always will be a part of the whole. A part of The All. We are a part of this universe. We are the universe experiencing itself! When you reach this enlightening conclusion, everything deemed as negative seems too trivial to tread upon.
This man's words are like a flame in the darkness.
This is nonsense. It is a total generalization to say that soldiers, laborers, scientists and professors lack sensitivity. In fact this is a dumb question given that "sensitivity" has 15 discrete meanings. Does she mean she is easily pained ? If so, it is because she hasn't mastered pain, realizing it is merely an alarm, which can be loud and annoying but can be switched off if necessary.
your a clown that is misunderstanding him because you are approaching is too literal which is why it is nonsense. I don't even know you but I am assuming you do not meditate at all lol
I wish people will realise one day, we are all one, and there will be peace at last, I truly believe we can achieve this, I sincerely hope we will, some day.
The world needs change, and we can achieve it changing itself, being part with the everything and not only being in everything. With the feet with the ground, not with the feet on it .
This was really sweet and I see The Way, but I am in a completely different world than the one he idealizes. To be that sensitive, I would have to leave this world and go into his. That's not what I'm called to do. I'm to live here, and I need a Way to Be Here.
I used to focus on Osho's external appearance, the shinny watch, the strange robes, the long white beard. Today, I was able to bypass all that, and I noticed his face, no anger, no wrinkles, no stress, and I listened, I paid attention to the message, and it got to me, finally.
Everything Osho is saying, was in my heart from since I can remember.
I tried in vain to teach my brothers and sisters. And now that I see there are actually men like that out there, I'm amazed and relieved that I am not alone and that I am NOT incorrect.
He is truly incredible. I saw him in person 20 years ago; and ever since that day, I have been reading his books. I too tried to pass his message to my family, but they are so blind - so controlled by megachurch christianity. But I am sure I have gotten through to them in subtle ways. My wife channels, and I have spoken with him 3 times now in that way. Incredible man... ChristBuddhaEnergy OSHO still lives here in Western Oregon & the Astral Planes.
When you are young you think you can change the world. When you get older you think you can change your friends and family. When you get older still you realise the only person you can ever hope to change is...
i've been there too...when i started reading osho i was amazed at how similar my views from then were to his, and yet my ego always tried to push me away from this way of thinking...it's extremely liberating to know that other people share this awareness = ]
Here Osho has a great many good points. Even as children we're trained this way. If a little girl's block tower gets knocked over, someone says, "are you sad? Are you disappointed?" If a little boy's block tower gets knocked over, someone says "are you angry?" The dominant society has wanted men to be either angry or numb because anger is a high-energy state suited for destruction. Girls are given time to cry, though - we need the practice so that as women we can give birth and mourn. :(
we hav all lik osho 's feelings i blive that the osho is great ..... he is the person lik my inner teacher cuz i m.....everybody in this world they has the feel the pure of purety..... i belive but the way ,wher i m is depend,
i'm crazy-sensitive (thank god i realised i was an artist and not an inadequate mutation), and have often been told to 'toughen up.' why don't we engender a social attitude that encouraged a softening up of humanity instead? sensitivity is the best and worst thing, it is the heart of creativity, of imagination, of progress and contribution. but it is vulnerable, and too many fall under its weight before they can see it's use flourish into something that only the sensitive can achieve.
I am very sensitive always have been. I've thought of it as a weakness that something was wrong with me, why can't I be strong like others... this is nice to hear!
In my humbe opinion, it's cold people who have a weakness, do people not become cold, when they are hurt too much? they become cold, to protect themselves from being hurt? :)
Important work has to be done. Sensitivity has its role just as hard work does as well. Gender plays very little role. I know of very sensitive men who are incredible fathers and teachers, while some women who are great soldiers in combat because each gender knows when it is best to be sensitive to have the most impact in life. Sensitive individuals are far more clear and far more able to complete tasks. Feelings are just as valid as logical thinking.
What women do you know who are great soldiers in combat? What country uses women in combat situations? I am an ex Marine and was a "Grunt"--that means infantry. I have never heard of women grunts or recon soldiers. If a fellow soldier has to carry me (210 lbs) out of a bad situation I don't want a 120 pound woman trying to heft me. I want a strong man. Sorry but womens lib has no place on the battlefield.
This "MAN" is pure NOW.i MEAN NOW IS THE WAY THE TRUE WAY.Surrender now to this moment ,Which isnt a moment at all .The Beginning of The Universe is NOW!!!!!!!!
Thanks Osho it challenging stuff especially when your influenced to think one way, you help it sink in. You must have helped to change how many people think. Im starting to love more broadly now.
I agree that sensitivity ia a good quality and that for women is more 'appropriate' to show their feelings than men. But I don't agree with Osho on what he says about sensitive women and insensitive men; what about those women who are pretty insensitive and behaving in a cruel way then?
@sirkku29 I don't think he means "insensitive" in the negative connotation, but as being less emotionally charged and responsive. Sensitivity has as many disadvantages and vice-versa; women require a heightened emotional sensitivity for the role of raising children, while the male roles of providers, leaders, and fighters require much less. Women who behave cruelly don't lack emotional sensitivity; they are usually spiteful or resentful, which is emotion manifested in the worst possible way.
I think men, becuase of what he says (lack of heartless/powerfull work), is meaning there are much more sensative men. For instance I am very sensative and seem to be more so than other women!
Si crees que no ha dicho nada en realidad, es que no tienes la sensibilidad suficiente para entender sus palabras, que van más allá de las palabras. No hay que entenderlo, hay que sentirlo.

3R3MITE 2 years ago
This is nonsense. It is a total generalization to say that soldiers, laborers, scientists and professors lack sensitivity. In fact this is a dumb question given that "sensitivity" has 15 discrete meanings. Does she mean she is easily pained ? If so, it is because she hasn't mastered pain, realizing it is merely an alarm, which can be loud and annoying but can be switched off if necessary.

Sensitivity it's a pure hope to the universe.
The world needs change, and we can achieve it changing itself, being part with the everything and not only being in everything. With the feet with the ground, not with the feet on it .

Is he ever ADORABLE!
This was really sweet and I see The Way, but I am in a completely different world than the one he idealizes. To be that sensitive, I would have to leave this world and go into his. That's not what I'm called to do. I'm to live here, and I need a Way to Be Here.
Blessings to OSHO and his people.

amazing, yet so simple words
I used to focus on Osho's external appearance, the shinny watch, the strange robes, the long white beard. Today, I was able to bypass all that, and I noticed his face, no anger, no wrinkles, no stress, and I listened, I paid attention to the message, and it got to me, finally.
Thanks for sharing!

Everything Osho is saying, was in my heart from since I can remember.
I tried in vain to teach my brothers and sisters. And now that I see there are actually men like that out there, I'm amazed and relieved that I am not alone and that I am NOT incorrect.
Krishnamurti jumps to mind too.

ChristBuddhaEnergy OSHO still lives here in Western Oregon & the Astral Planes.

i've been there too...when i started reading osho i was amazed at how similar my views from then were to his, and yet my ego always tried to push me away from this way of thinking...it's extremely liberating to know that other people share this awareness = ]

i'm crazy-sensitive (thank god i realised i was an artist and not an inadequate mutation), and have often been told to 'toughen up.' why don't we engender a social attitude that encouraged a softening up of humanity instead? sensitivity is the best and worst thing, it is the heart of creativity, of imagination, of progress and contribution. but it is vulnerable, and too many fall under its weight before they can see it's use flourish into something that only the sensitive can achieve.

Feelings are just as valid as logical thinking.
nivsha 3 years ago
What women do you know who are great soldiers in combat? What country uses women in combat situations? I am an ex Marine and was a "Grunt"--that means infantry. I have never heard of women grunts or recon soldiers. If a fellow soldier has to carry me (210 lbs) out of a bad situation I don't want a 120 pound woman trying to heft me. I want a strong man. Sorry but womens lib has no place on the battlefield.

I agree that sensitivity ia a good quality and that for women is more 'appropriate' to show their feelings than men. But I don't agree with Osho on what he says about sensitive women and insensitive men; what about those women who are pretty insensitive and behaving in a cruel way then?
sirkku29 3 years ago
@sirkku29 I don't think he means "insensitive" in the negative connotation, but as being less emotionally charged and responsive. Sensitivity has as many disadvantages and vice-versa; women require a heightened emotional sensitivity for the role of raising children, while the male roles of providers, leaders, and fighters require much less. Women who behave cruelly don't lack emotional sensitivity; they are usually spiteful or resentful, which is emotion manifested in the worst possible way.
