I love that moment in the winner's circle when Mrs. Moss kisses Zenyatta, and Zenny bucks her head, sorta like those mother-daughter moments where the daughter is afraid of being embarrassed in front of her friends for kissing her mom, so cute, very sweet moment in the winner's circle.

mik655 you will be the delusional one as Zenyatta not only defeats RA on dirt, but whatever else they choose to run on too. If Zenyatta ran in the Woodward Rachel Alexandra would have lost that race and Zenyatta would be in her rightful place and the real HOY. Z beats RA at or above 1 1/8 over any surface. No other horse racing now except maybe Quality Road on a fast track like Gulfstream which plays to speed could beat her.

If Zenyatta and RA were people, Zenny would graciously congratulate RA and RA would honestly admit she didn't deserve HOTY. I was warned about the bias so I wasn't surprised but I did remove the Eclipse awards from my list of "meaningful things".Those who voted for RA are like shoplifters...they know it's wrong but they do it anyway. How does a loser beat an undefeated winner?I wish much success and perfect health to both in 2010 but Zenyatta is the HOTY and people know it. Go babe. Love you!

Mike Smith was kind enough to join us at our table in a restaurant in 2008, which thrilled my wife. He mentioned how avidly he was looking forward to his next day's ride on Zenyatta.

The next day, the Zenyatta legend was born. She went from last to first, exactly in the way we witnessed yesterday.

But as good as she looked to Mike that evening & as amazing as she looked to us the next day, it was impossible to foresee that she would be the first filly to win the Classic.
