Sayce would've made Uncle Kracker look good. Can't actually imagine him playing with somone as lame and weak as Kracker. He's too good a guitarist to embarasshimself like that. Krackers song 'Follow Me' was about the limpest most homogenous slop I've ever heard. Did Eddy Murphy model Norbert on him?
great stuff Philip, I hear A LOT of SRV in your playing. when you started your solo, i heard about 1/4 in my head before you played it too, very cool :) keep it up, and how about a collaboration with Joe Bonamassa ? I'd love an album with you both cranking out the bluesrock... and just for fun, why not try your 63 strat through Joe's huge amp rig ;) good luck man !
Sayce has such huge soul, and Morse is such a gentleman for sharing the stage like that. I can only imagine what it was like to actually be there when some of your favourite guitarists turn up on stage at the same time.
BtTW, Thanks to whomever was filming! Great job, including at the end showing the crowd. Gives us musicians a feel for what that's like being on stage. And, Philip, I LOVE the sound of your Strat! Jimi was right, it's about the tones, and you, my lad, have got TONES!! ;)
Haha you are so humble Philip! Steve had to PUSH you forward to make sure you were gonna take that solo! Great job, can't wait to see you live again! :)
awesome solo
