perhaps it's not a right place to ask questions concerning grammar but i couldn't find the answer anywhere else... well, the reporter mentions "raccoon city" twice and "THE raccoon city" once and i wonder - what's the rule behind it? i've never heard anybody say/write "the new york city" and i used to think that putting an article before names of cities (except for the hague but that's a different story) was simply incorrect but i don't know anymore

RE2 was my fave, so it was a really sad ending to see R.P.D blown up. But 2 & 3 will always be classics with great endings in the series. Only RE 5 has had me feeling warm and fuzzy inside with the whole Jill surviving and escaping with the others and handing the batton to Chris' new partner.

To this day this ending sends chills down my spine. 100,000 people; in essence, not a single survivor of the city other than Jill Valentine (Carlos doesn't count and Barry Burton only arrived at the end). Definately the most powerful ending to a Resident Evil game and that's more than I can say for the truly piss poor ending to Resident Evil 5.

@eugene680 Well it said in RE Degeneration (Animated movie) that the Pres stood down after the Raccoon incident due to all the presure. Might find his zombie corpse but i think its a dead end :)

Still, would be fun to use the old shotgun to blow his head off XD

I never thought about this before, that RE gives a very good example of what happens when humans abuse things like bio weapons. Even movies tend to make good examples.

Anyway, this part of the ending still makes me sad even after all these years. :[ I wouldn't be surprised if there were still a few unaffected people hiding in the city at the time it was destroyed.

Imo the classic Resident Evil story came to an end with the 3rd part... They developed such a great story, almost everybody in the world knows the T-Virus... 4 and 5 are cool as well, but i think, this ain't the cool, classic RE story no more... so they are called RE 4 and 5, but they have nothing to do with the former RE

RE4 was basically starting to be nothing with the story but evolved in to the main story line. RE5 Was Entirely different. It Was straight to the story.

The RE scenario should warn us not to make researching at all costs, like Umbrella. In RE the real enemys are the people not the zombies. Because the zombies and BOW´s are only the product of the humans fail. sry for bad english

It's already been done..over 50 years ago..By russia..Search the Tsar Bomb. It was the king of the bombs..detonated at about 50 Megatons..it was originally supposed to be 100 megatons but they had to scale it down. It could give 3rd degree burns from over 100 miles away..

Tsar was the biggest nuclear bomb created to date, they couldnt solve the accuracy problems so they just built bigger bombs. Tsar was insanely large, a normal nuke can wipe out a city but Tsar would and then some
