What happened during the ATFR when they had to "re-enact" their breakup, Mel was the one who was "acting" When Jason said, they were not right for each other, Mel's response was "I don't know how you can say that, I thought everything was perfect"!! I believe she was told to "act it up"

Dumping her on tv is a douchey move, but I respect him for following his heart. It was better for him to tell her he had doubts than drag it on and hurt her even worse in the end. Given his recent wedding to Molly he obviously has real feelings for her and made the right choice. Melissa has been married for a while to some other guy, so I doubt she is too heart broken. It is easy for the rest of us to judge him, but in the end he made the best decision for both of them and that takes guts.

@SoKissMe2 Under contract, Jason was not allowed to have any contact with Molly until after the final show aired. He was told that the only chance he would have to talk to Molly was if he did it on TV. She was pegged to be the next Bachelorette. Jason felt he had no other choice if he wanted to let Molly know how he felt.

Mel was/is a total fake and liar all along! She admitted that her feelings changed within DAYS of the proposal.(and she went on the show to try to get her BF to commit). Then says she was under the "spell" of the "bachelor bubble". The proposal was in Nov. This taping was done Mid January. Must have been a long "bubble". All of you critics need to go find out the TRUTH about what really went on before you pass judgment.

She'd probably make unfair comparisons between the two and maybe end up back with the old BF.....In my humble opinion, this breakup worked out in Jason's favor sparing him from possible drama.

@DarkMachine I agree completely! It's interesting when you look at the complete picture. They were no longer a couple since after the Xmas holidays - the breakup was mutual and she admitted that. What happened during the ATFR when they had to "re-enact" their breakup, Mel was the one who was "acting" When Jason said, they were not right for each other, Mel's response was "I don't know how you can say that, I thought everything was perfect"!! I believe she was told to "act it up"

She threw Jason under the bus. She had complete control but she chose to take this route. Her "public humiliation " was her doing. The producers prob. told her to "act" and she did. Dumping her on tv is a douchey move, but I respect him for following his heart. It was better for him to tell her he had doubts than drag it on and hurt her even worse in the end. Given his recent wedding to Molly he obviously has real feelings for her and made the right choice. Melissa has been married for a while to some other guy, so I doubt she is too heart broken. It is easy for the rest of us to judge him, but in the end he made the best decision for both of them and that takes guts.

I remember watching this and thinking "Jason, you are such a *(^*&^!@% because if you really EVER had feelings for her, you would have broken up with her BEFORE this show, and then announced it, not DUMPED HER ON LIVE TV!!!!" And if I was Melissa, I would have kept that effing ring and sold it or pawned it. She deserves so much better than what he just did to her. She's such a strong person, and even though I don't know her, I'm proud of her for the way she handled this.
