  • Would help if you sync the words to the lips, might want to try that next time!!

  • This lady can sing like there's no tomorrow

    , the BEST !!

  • I'm not a big SN fan, but if I could sing, I would want this voice and belt this out like there was no tomorrow!

  • Queen of Rock

  • Love me some stevie....freaking hot....80s babe

  • @lib. eat shit.

  • The old goat needs to be put out to pasture.

  • this is a lovely version, makes some words clearer than the released version... such a gutsy song

  • "a wound gets worse when treated with neglect/is it all that hard/is it all that tough, I've shown you all my cards well isn't that enough"

    Yeah I feel

  • people who "dislike" this must lack attention....lol

  • Thumbs up if Gypsy 83 brought you here! :D

  • @DJVirgoNeun So odd. I Finally watched Gypsy 83 yesterday night. Such a great movie. I don't remember how I first heard of it, but I remember it was..Oh, about 5 years ago. So excited when I finally found it last night! :-D I've always loved Stevie Nicks but that movie really brought her much needed admiration. :-D

  • @DJVirgoNeun and when I said so odd. its cause as I was reading the comments and yours happened to be the most recent and Gypsy 83 did bring me here. lol

  • I have to admit that the released version of Talk to Me is near perfection and one of her best songs, but I just LOVE how this sounds!

  • Impressive for a demo. Most don't have as much flare or richness in the music. They're usually just a general skeleton of a song to build upon. This sounds like how the live version could possibly come together. Is this off of the "Enchanted" box set?

  • OMG! It's better than the single in some ways! wow! what a treasure! thanks!

  • Stevie I have really never enjoyed anyone eises' music and poetry!!! I love to sing your poetry in motion.

  • asomene

  • stevie nicks is the SHIT!!!! ......total bar music, therapeutic on a rainy day in your car, garage looking out into the rain, etc....thinking about life and good times with friends...

  • great story!!!! Thanks for sharing :)

  • My mum has her first three solo albums on vinyl, she was a big fan (it was my dad who bought the Fleetwood Mac albums). I love just about everything off those albums, just so damn catchy, and the lyrics are beautiful pieces of poetry. I love this more then the original, sounds like Mac and not Nicks.

  • This is GR8! Thx sooo much for posting!!! <3

  • where's the demo ffs?

  • I wish the sound and video weren't off by about three seconds though!

  • I have always liked her voice. It took me a while to understand just how good of a song writer she is.......

  • stevie nicks is brilliant, she has a voice that makes the hairs on the back of ur neck stand up, loved her for 20 plus years. well done stevie xx

  • I dig this vocal.

  • I like this version! I sing this song on my Emilydogcat channel.

  • I love stevie knicks and fleetwood. She is truely beautiful

  • When this song's video came out, it was long after the song started going down the charts. It rose to the top ten without a video. But the video didn't seem to increase any more vital sales.

  • . . . it allowed me to recall,"another life ".

  • I ate pizza with her, It`s a long story

  • Let's hear it!!!!!!!

  • Okay in the 80`s she came to Tampa on n the rock and little tour if I remember correctly my Dad had got us tickets and stage passes, After the show about 50 people were back stage hounding her for autographs and being me I just sat back and watched everyone swoon over her.

Just about everyone had left and she walked over to me and said hello and asked where can we get good pizza around here?

I knew a place and we all piled onto her tour bus and went and ate pizza...lol

    It was awesome =]

  • she keeps it up dont let go of history...its what its all about

  • Good song thank for the post!!

  • Seems like only yesterday I used to hang out with David Piqquette and John Mc Vie and Stevie in Maui at the Pioneer Inn. Those were high times with Lyndsey Buckingham playing at La Toots Caberet trying out new material til 4:00 am.

  • Actually this is not the demo. This was her original recording that was going on the album until she re-recorded it at the eleventh hour cuz she felt she didn't get the "right" vocal with this version. But in addition to this, she has a demo which sounds very similar to this but there are differences.

  • Actually early Belinda Carlisle has some Stevie Nicks Bvs on them without Stevie actually being credited for it. Both Rupert Hine and Jimmy Iovine have worked with Belinda Carlisle so its no surprise that they have a similar sound.

Glad you posted this FT, there really isn't much difference to this demo and the album version until you really listen to it word for word, note for note and Stevie's voice is a lot wilder and freer on this - I love it!

  • what does Bvs mean?

  • @shanemiro backing vocals

  • Bvs or BVs = Backing Vocals!

  • I dig Stevie...cool chick.

  • I remember dressing like Stevie in the 80's. Lot of black with bleach blond hair.

  • Will this clip be another victim of "literal version"? I see something strange is floating here. :)

  • hey, dont like the video or sound quality? buy the album!

  • Comment removed

  • .....not really.

  • Belinda sounds like Stevie...dick wipe...

  • Geez! No need for you to be such an asshole. What, nobody can voice an opinion anymore?

  • And excuse me if I knew about Belinda before Stevie. :P

  • I hear the similarities;) Both are wonderful singers, although Stevie will always be the Queen of Rock;)

  • Danke für diesen Hammersong

  • A Little Rock....Stevie was having a bit of trouble singing by this time. She was so noticeably nasal and hitting the high notes was having its way with her. She sounds so amazing now, it's hard to imagine how really bad off she got. What a woman. I really like 'Live In Chicago'. Stevie Nicks is amazing. Now, and then.

  • And yet, I love her "Rock A Little" voice. I think she was more daring with her voice then, probably the most daring of her career.

  • One of the classics courtesy of the very talented stevie nicks

  • she had another video that went with this song?

  • My favorite Stevie Nicks song and video. Thanks for posting. :=)))

  • Absoultley Amazing this song!

  • Great job ! Thanx !

  • "Rock A Little" was a great album! And this song with "Stand Back" and "Nightbird" are my favorites!!!!

  • @DAVEJJR i agree, ive always loved this song

  • thanks for the video! bless you!

  • wonderful woman & song!

  • This is my Favorite Stevie song, thanks for posting this :-)

  • i love this song! its really awesome! i love you Stevie.

  • great stevie nicks awesome song love it

  • If everyone could communicate more effectively, there'd be less fights, divorces, assaults, riots, murders, war, hurt feelings, children crying, people starving.........sorry, this song gets me all emotional. Thanks for posting!

  • Stevie nicks must have probably the best voice in music . Definately the sexiest !! this is one of the best songs ever .i love it.( this is just my opinion folks) thanks for posting.

  • She is all of the above

  • love this demo. Stevie has always said that this song was one of the hardest for her to sing and perform.

  • Everything she does is beautiful.

  • I love the finish product, but this DEMO is awesome!!!!!

  • Just a great demo. Thanks for posting it

  • still can't believe this is a demo, I think it is much better than the final cut if you ask me. Thanks for posting this.

  • Wow, great demo! Ty for posting.

  • You're welcome, I love it too!

  • It is out of sync

  • Yeah, I know. I tried my hardest to sync it, but she sings this version a little differently.

  • oh good job then lol, I love her!

  • Don't you know that you can't please all the people all the time....thanks for the posting...awesome job! Don't listen to the nay sayers....they are idiots.

  • Thanks!

  • you apologize for using the video but

not for posting a stolen demo. lol

  • ...So you're saying I stole this demo?

  • I've loved Stevie forever, but was never a fan of "Rock a Little." I've always thought it was so over produced. I like this demo because it sounds less produced.....I'll talk to you Stevie.

  • I loved Rock A Little.....my least favorite was The Other Side of the Mirror....my favorite was The Wild Heart!

  • I agree, RaL was a bit over produced. But I love some of the songs on it! Like this one, it will remain my favorite for a long time!
