  • Great song/album thx

  • Great song. I bought the vinyl in '74 and still have it.

Cat Stevens when he was still a "pop star".

  • Hey this got a gypsy sound ,does it?

  • love it

  • Hmmm...that's exactly where I met Cat Stevens...on a backroad behind the stage...Majikat tour...1976...C79...I'll never, never forget that time!!! LOL I was bold walking right up to him to introduce myself, I moved so fast from the spot I was standing in by the door, I had to turn and look to see if I was still standing there!..I was a little shy too..Oh very young I was... He probably doesn't remember me, but I'll never, never forget... <3 :) Later!

  • such a great underated album

  • I love this song so much. It's unfortunate virtually no one else of my generation is aware of it

  • My all time favorite artist...Who cannot love Cat Stevens...:)

  • still sounds great after all these years

  • As a kid I would spend hours studying this albums artwork-Wow...I'm old.

  • @liveecarbme im 21 , just about in love with his music after 2 hours of know other stuff beside peace train lol

  • hours oops lol

  • a thousand ours I looked in her eyes, and I still don't know what color they are....... classic. Thanks for uploading :)

  • "and who can explain the light in you dreams"...thanks diehard...

  • love this song and somehow only discovered it a couple years ago. this version is way better than the one i found. thanks!

  • Unbelievable one of my favorites.......My dad started playing these albums when I was like three...especially chocolate and Teaser and the firecat...

  • Jean Roussel, Alun Davies, such a gathering of talent... saw them under the stars at the Waikiki Shell in '74... one of the best concerts of my life and I saw them all during that era... Hendrix, Doors, Janis, Blind Faith, Dylan, Cocker, LedZep, Marvin, Elton, on and on... you could not touch Cat Stevens for musical excellence... what a night of music.

  • As I just wrote on my Facebook wall where I just published it, my exact favourite song on the Buddha album since I first got my vinyl copy from Brazil in 1974. Only KING OF TREES makes me doubt. Great addition and an inmortal song from the classic CS era.

  • So good...

  • Looked for this song for years.

"Me and you mum, on the night we met."

    YES.

  • thanks very much for posting this song. a very good gift.

  • Amazing how this song was planted in my brain in 1979 and I remember every word even though I have not thought of it or heard it since 1980 when my turntable broke on the way to University.

The mind is an amazing thing.

  • Brings me right back to fabulous times. Thank you so much! I was a strange child in Dublin in the 70's!- Got into Cat back then. Now near 40 and still adore him. Big thumbs up.

  • you can find it at the store

  • My all time fave of yusuf during the cat era is father from back to earth, but buddha and the choc box was the first album I bought by him! so SUN has a special place, good moog work on this

  • One of the best artist ever.

Great song, wish i could see him live sometime.

  • How this only has 5000 views is beyond me. One of Cat's best, and that's saying something.

  • I used to have this album too. There is no one who can compare with Cat Stevens. The album is still in my apartment I can't get rid of it even though I have no record player, Cat Stevens - his music is burned into my memory. His musicians have always been part and parcel of his craft, it all came together so perfectly. It was just meant to be

  • I still have my vinyl too ;-)

  • @heavnnnsent that is very funny very cool... peace

  • i dont like this world

  • "Sun C-79" is one of my favorite songs by Cat Stevens. I used to play this one song over and over. Thought the synth sounds were real cool. It's a bit dated now, but it's still a great song, dated synthesizer lines and all. I haven't listened to this song in over 30 years. Brings back really nice memories.

  • I stole my momma's album back in the 70's. I may even still have it. This is my favorite C.S. song ever.

  • I love this song. Thank you for sharing.

  • Nice song about dad telling kid how he picked up his groupie-junkie mother and conceived the kid...cool.

  • this is one of my all-time favorites, and I hadn't heard it in ages-

    thanks for posting!!

  • I adored this album. Every song. The album cover was so sweet. Little chocolate Buddhas wrapped in gold foil, and a colorful comic on the back. Look up the title in an image search and keep scrolling until you see both the front, back, and insert. It is worth the look.

  • this is one of three albums I've never heard of Cat. The other two being Numbers and Foreigner. I've heard assorted songs off of all three, but how are the actual albums? My favorite album is still Mona Bone Jakon.

  • Definitely get Foreigner. Side two of Numbers is better of the two sides IMHO.

  • This one is really good. 9 songs. Especially good to me are Music, Sun C/79, and Ready

Oh Very Young is good too, and was a top 20 hit

  • oh thats great so great thank you alot

  • thank you so much for this . my first love would play this on his 12 string. that was in 1978.

  • sun c79 was a type of acid (lsd) used in the 60s and 70s...trivia from an old cat stevens fan

  • Thanks for the info!

  • You're very welcome ZFroggirl
