i wonder how bands in the old days did it.. they started a band.. and they pretty much stuck with it until the they got really old or died.. not at 30.. now adays bands are always break up after like 4 or 5 years.. its a bummer

@TheThroney I don't think its as simple as that. Case in point: The different versions or "MKs" of Deep Purple. Then there's The Clash. Even Iron Maiden's had a few lineup changes. Same band name, different people. I prefer DPT breaking up than having different members every couple of years.

@dezmoraldo tbf in my opinion what makes dirty pretty things what they are is no pete the libertines had an amazing run but after they split carl n pete kinda went to competition with the bands and pete won by miles but i think dirty pretty things is better than babyshambles

Gary is really cool on the drums here.... He's been right there w/Carl thruout the years - nice they showed him doing his thing more! Why do I always fall hard for a band right when they split up?!! WAAA!! All of them - just too cool for words.

I just think they're just way more consistent than the libs. You have to force yourself to like some libs stuff like "Arbeit Macht Frei", "Campaign of Hate", "Tomblands", "Horrorshow, "Radio America". Waterloo To Anywhere is a class album straight through maybe with the exception of "You Fucking Love It". Still love the libs anyway! Two deadly bands

yeh true 'you fucking love it' isn't my favourite song on the album. but songs like 'bang bang you're dead', 'the enemy' and 'doctors and dealers' are very good songs and arguably the best on 'waterloo to anywhere'. i have never heard the libertines. but in my opinion dirty pretty things remind me of the arctic monkeys. a lot of their songs change genre in the album every now and then and the way they play the guitar really does remind me of them.
