@hazeywolf - It's a bit heavier and not as sharp as the Chen Wakizashi I have, even though it can cut pretty well, it's more for thrusting.

Hi Isreal, I notice you are using this in your left hand, are you a fellow leftie? Is the handle on this designed for use in either hand? On many swords I've seen the basket or guard does not allow this. Nive looking sword, thanks for the vid.

@AussieMark909 - Yes I am. Yes the sword is designed for right hands, so in the left hand it won't give as much protection to your knuckles.

This may sound weird but one thing I am learning from you is that it is okay to have expensive and also not so expensive edged weapons. A sword or knife may on the cheap side but it can still be deadly.

How would you say that sword (or a sword like that) work for let's say home defense?

I reckon some stupid thug with a knife would be pretty much hosed.

@Skullchaser08 - These side swords are a pretty deadly design. If you keep the tip pointed at the enemy and use it right, they won't be able to move faster than you can thrust it through them. They'd need a shield or some sort of weapon to parry with, or they'd be skewered. It can also cut off hands and heads.
