I am not the best player, but having done this battle like 70 times (yeah seriously), I can offer tips. When True Dracula does his stomp thing, just backdash. You will be unharmed, and you will be facing him, so you can get in 3-4 hits, just while he is on the ground. Also for that three scythe attack, for the third one, you can actually whip him and not get hit (unless you are in the air or something, but being on the ground will be fine).

I disliked you missed too many chances to attack, I thought that you were doing this on purpose on the first form so that dracula and death dont look like noobs and for the purpose of them showing all special attacks, but its missing the final one. With that aside liked how the final blow was just before you got hit and how you did some unecessary but pretty crazy dodges there.

Good question, I don't know about Lords of shadow and how canon it's considered (I believe that at least one past game was considered non-canon, but this one probably is canon since its new), but if the witch Celia in Dawn of sorrow could be believed and having in mind that death is supposed to be a mythical figure that is the right-hand of god but not someone who's completely under his control, but rather someone god needs then maybe god and the lord of darkness are the same thing?

What Celia said was something with the meaning like without darkness there cannot be light. She wanted to see a dark lord rising merely because she didn't want god existence to be forgotten.

With that said, while Im not up to the story with lords of shadow, I believe that might destroy the initial hypothesis.

Maybe death has his reasons to work for him? or maybe I missed some part of the plot that explained that.

With lords of shadow aside, and if my memory doesnt fail me, I think god has never shown any real proof of existance, and that's what supported my belief.

Also, dracula gets stronger as darkness grows in humanity's heart.

Much like a god, the existance is stronger with the faith of people.

Still, I am not up to date with the plot, so maybe someone else can explain that better than me

The reason for Dracula and Death to combine was that Dracula was just revived, so his power weren't even close to being restored. He needed help. If Dracula would have been at full power however, no one could have stopped him... except for Alucard and Julius, just like they did in 1999.

If i hadn't watch so many castlevania-perfect-boss-fight­s, i'd say you ran lucky at the very end... But seeing how usually the last boss is easy. i guess it's 50%-50%, you knew he was about to die any second, but he still caught you off guard as he always followed the fireballs with the scythe attack and on the last attack he went for a stomp.

...Any way, great video, epic finalle. How about a perfect Charlotte fight? I really doubt that is possible...

Well although SOTN is one of the best of castlevania, the setup for POR is good, it doesnt lack the short story as for OoE. To sad that Allucard would not come out on castlevania for 3rd gen, :'( , I was looking forward to play castlevania with Allucard again for 3rd gen gaming, he rocks.

Think of it this way: Dracula doesn't want to be killed, but he also doesn't want to lose Death, so if either comes close to being defeated, they resolve to combine their powers.

Use the Sanctuary spell on them. They are "cursed" and they will open the way to more paintings.
