@ArmyRangerish Hey 6 miles on a treadmill is nice but let me tell you, running out in nature is so much different than on a treadmill. It is so much more difficult when running on the ground so you should try out things other than the treadmill. I do lots of cardio, what you should do is speed train on treadmill and distance train on real ground. I only do 2.5 miles on real ground but I'm in great shape, on treadmill I run 5-7 mph in different intervals. 6 miles is unnecessary, try 3.5 at most.

the reason they dont use airsoft... is cause they would have no way of keeping attract of who is hit. What they do have is some kind of system.. i dont know for sure what it is..but the a opposing soldier and every soldier has this system on them..When they get hit it is recorded and i think they know when they get hit as well.. But they use blanks to give it a real feel for the gun with the recoil of the weapon.

my dad had to do military service in east germany wich was controlled and monitored by russia. but one of his tricks to not get blisters and messed up feet was to put on a thick coating of vaseline on his feet and then put on his socks. he said feels good but keeps your feet in ok condition

Why would they DoD spend money to buy airsoft "rifles" waste of money plus you'd have to try and have a observer to say when your hit. And with your kit and blanks, the weight of loaded mags would simulate your load out on a real mission and airsoft won't get you use to the sounds of real weapons. 1. RIP is a now defunct program used to determine who goes to the 75th Rangers or not. It was pretty much just a three week hazing to weed out the weaklings. It's been replaced by RASP, which is the same thing, but 8 weeks instead.

2. Ranger School only gets you the tab. Most do NOT go to the regiment. For instance, every infantry officer who values his career should get his tab. But obviously, most of those will not go to the regiment. Am I making sense?

RASP is not harder than Ranger School. Many young privates make it through RASP and get into regiment, and then get booted out of Ranger School and then regiment as a result. Then again, I could be wrong as I only did Ranger School (didn't make it, I was a heat casualty, going back in winter) and not RASP, but this logic above would tell me Ranger School is harder.

Actually you go to RIP first then Ranger School is usually after 1 year in one of the Battalions. You can get an Option 40 which guarentees you Airborne School, RIP, and Ranger School. BTW you need Airborne School to be in the Regiment.
