It is a REALLY lost word when even the internet doesn't remember it. It's in two games... Dungeon Master II and Legend of Zork. It's also in many versions of the script of Willow the movie. The sword that Val Kilmer used, that is serrated on one side, is known as an Excsymyr. There were very few probably ever crafted in history as they require a ton more work to make than a normal sword.

Nowadays we simply call them "serrated swords".

I love Hellgate:London. My main character is an engineer, and he is pretty good...(a sad thing is that I found a glove of commanding...thing...in the unique rating...or legendary...but it's unique...and I can't use it!).

One thing I don't like about the game is the limited inventory storage.

It's sad they got an money problems, and the servers got out...but the accounts never got deleted...which is good for those who had one...I bought my game after theire moneytary probs...at a discount.

Nerd moment! It's actually one of the three legendary weapons... The Excsymyr, the Carsomyr, and the Excalibur. Supposedly the Excalibur held the right of rule, the Carsomyr was permanently on fire, and the Excsymyr imbued the user with great skill. (In actuality, the Excsymyr was just really really well designed. It had an air slit, a serrated edge, and a splinted hilt & strap.)

That's if any of that is actually true. ^_^ But yes, it was also in Dungeon Master 2. :)

I would agree. But in certain cases, when you need to use the number line (like with certain RPGs), the best method is a hand switching strategy.

Switching from left on 1234, right on numpad... to left on numpad, right on mouse.

In the first position, you have limited ability to look around, but gain the ability of having all of your abilities ready at a moments notice. And vise versa with the other position. I can assure you, this method, while confusing, works great in versus games.
