Actually I'm using the definition of a friend of my parents who was telling me about the time he and his family spent there, this was in mid July so I suppose things could have changed, they moved to Germany in August.

Guys like MtGoguen have been purposefully deceived to believe socialism and capitalism are inherently evil (or at least the same as totalitarianism).
Medical insurance companies have been dumping billions into anti socialist propaganda because they would lose way more if a public option were available.
Car insurance and transportation companies are the same. As is any pyramid-style corporation. It is the bourgeoisie controlling the opinions of the proletariat. Propaganda at it's finest.

Also, you act like he was afraid of socialism, he isn't, I apologize if I left you with that impression. Also, with regards to countries that fit "Lance"'s definition, the U.S. used to count.
Also, a better description of socialist countries is: countries where being better is discouraged either by government policy (USSR) or by social means(Norway).

To say that Obama and the power brokers behind him are not trying to bring the US population into a collectivist society with socalist principles is akin to a man with perfect 20/20 vision with his eyes open walking out in broad daylight and saying it is pitch black dark of night.
