  • 7:00 am - 8:00 am (two episodes) every Saturday morning from 1985 - 1987, until they replaced it with... wait for it... fucking Tiger Sharks and Karate Kat... really??? I didn't watch Saturday morning cartoons again until they started showing Dragon Warrior in 1989. What sweet memories my childhoold held.

Sounds like Zor is getting off to his memories of Dana. Speaking about that, we haven't had a shower scene in a while, have we?

  • 7:30 am everyday 1985

  • 14:42 Vehicular manslaughter

    ouch

  • GAAWWWDD! 13:46! Some masters! They are horrible shots.

  • "Zor, you stupid alien, you said you would catch up with us!"

  • Musica's voice is sexy, I think.

  • 1:40

  • You would think with that with some much technology they would put a deam seat belt.

  • @PerfectionIsPower

Agreed that would be a good idea lol seatbelt

  • For a society that doesn't promote individual behavior, a lot of its people show human behavioral patterns.

  • @triggershock they also tend to have a strong sense of "style," which comes in threes, and they play music, that is incredibly sensitive to an individual's sense of feeling!

  • @triggershock That's completely natural. No government or society can ever fully suppress individual behavior or a person's yearning for freedom. This has been the case throughout history and this series accurately portrays this universal truth.

  • @demoskunk it is only a universal truth of the human race. if they were a different race, or bio-engineered and were subject to some kinda programing that gets rid of it, then it is entirely possible. of course, every alien so far seem as though they are just humans that grew up in a diferent part of the galaxy, so it is all about the society factor... they just know not of individuality... of course that would not explain why so many actually do have individuality

  • @demoskunk but, exposure to a individual behavior and freedom, would overcome the society-based suppression if in a large enough degree... as with the Zentradi

  • @sango213 I think that Super Dimensional Calvary Southern Cross uses the Zor (the actual name of the alien race in the original Japanese version) as an alegory for Japanese society. Like the Japanese, the aliens make sure their society is run by strict order and team work, rather than by individuality and personal freedom.

However, some aliens, like some Japanese, strive for more personal expression. This show and Macross are deep shows because the aliens aren't really evil.

  • @demoskunk damn.... 10 min response time... congrats lol

  • @sango213 lol, I didn't even realize how quickly I responded....makes me look like I have no life :)

  • This beat G.I. Joe anyday. =p

  • lol agreed
