Thank you for posting! I love this tune -- and have been looking for it for decades!  However, the version I listened to was in Mandarin. Does anyone know the title or singer?

Everyone who grew up in the late 60s in Hong Kong is familiar with this song. This was the #1 folk song in Japan back in Jan 1969 called 風（kaze). It was recorded by a Japanese folk group called はしだのりひことシューベルツ. See below my response to lavidalocaliving.

I was looking for the original which was called "風", released in 1968, that's why I was surprised to find this in Cantonese. Thanks to this video, I was able to see the related videos that include the original. I didn't know it was a big hit in Hong Kong.

You can buy this song from a back catalog through Japanese online record store. There have been many versions of this song. This song was played extensively in Hong Kong radio station in the early 70s. At one stage, it was the opening song for a English radio channel in Hong Kong.
