Is you Lama Pai lineage connected to Master Chen Keun Ng (Chen Jung Wu)? My lineage is through Master Sing Lung - Master Wong Yin Lin (Wong Yan-Lam) - Master Li Yin Chuan - Master Tsai Yi Kung - Master Wong Yin Lin (Wong Yan-Lam) - Master Chen Keun Ng (Chen Jung Wu - Wai Lun Choi (Cai Hui Lin) - Sifu John B. "Jack" Soderberg
@naumutroi my lineage is through a couple branches of Pak Hok Pai. The form you see here is from Sifu Frank Lee (lineage Ng Siu Chung > Luk Chi Fu), Sifu Frank incorporated much of his own style into the form you see in this video. To view my full lineage take a look at my website linked on my MyChannel page on YouTube
To tie the lineage back to you, here is the order: Sheng Long -> Huang Lin Kai -> Ng Siu Chung
excellent performance. technically proficient. some emotional content would be a nice addition to add polish to the performance to give reverance to both the spirit of the ape as well as the crane.
@naumutroi good observation, I believe my performance in this video (and some of my others on YouTube) can show more of the principle of "Chon" (destructive/ruthlessness) which is exhibited by the spirit of the ape. Thanks for your comment.
@GongFuey "Chon" is so missing in many of the demo's of Lions Roar-Lama Pai and its offshoot branch styles and hybrids on youtube. In your performance all the core Lions Roar-Lama Pai principles i can see in it in your performance. The different lineages all share those core principles which embody the spirit of the ape and the crane.

I enjoyed your overhand strikes and your devotion to detail. Every move occurs just as the last one expires....like pearls clinking down a string...one atop the other...each distantly defined by the smallest increment of the moment, yet each unified by the singular thrust of will. And most of all, I enjoyed noting how varied this form can. Thank you for teaching us today. *bows*

Hello, I would like to know that technique @ 1:06 min, is that a tiger tail kick? Great demo by the way....
blackarawak83 1 year ago
@blackarawak83 - thanks,
Yes, it is a tiger tail kick. It is executed as part of the movement before it.
First, trap a kick (1:05), then throw opponents leg up in air and tiger tail kick
while opponent is leg up and off balance (kick to groin/mid section)
