They made 3 of the best albums I've ever heard and yet they were so over looked in their time I had to discover them by accident in 91.
As much as they deserved more credit I say screw the mainstream. They set the watermark for every female front band that's come along since and as of now I don't see any come ever close.
I hope they're all happy now at whatever their doing.
You can see the another guitarist clearly on the live performance of 'Cry' on TFI Friday (just search for it). Harriet introduced him on another concert clip, but I couldn't make out the name. I think it's Kevin Jamieson, singer for Jim Jiminee, which kind of perpetuates the rumors that Harriet was in that band prior to forming The Sundays.
A band that should have received more attention, but I'm kind of glad it didn't either...it didn't get ruined by overexposure, a pure, wonderful sound.
Heh, I can see me and my friend at the very front! She's got the great blonde hair in the very front, middle, and I'm to her left.

Wish I had seen them live. Love the electric factory too.

At the beginning someone yells out: "God made me!"
and Harriet replies but I can't understand what she says. Does anyone know?

@itreeye "Oh I'm very pleased for you" is what she said. You're welcome.

@itreeye She replies: "I'm very pleased for you". I can't hear what she says next because of the audience.

God, she could really sing - presumably still can. Her voice was all floaty and pretty but there was always real power in it too.

@rainrunner1 Now come on.....the innocence mission came pretty close. I understand what you're saying though.

Soaring, beautiful vocals - Harriet's trademark. I think I vaguely remember them expanding to a five piece for the live shows.....

She sounds so cute and wonderful here. I love how she isn't a studio singer. She sounds great live and on CD. One of my favs off their first CD.

Harriet is an angel on par with Kate Bush, but the band is incredibly good, too -- it's a case of a perfect fit.
Thanks for the video, I have the studio cut and one live from Paris, and the song is one of my favorites.

That beautiful, ethereal but powerful voice. Glad to hear a song I don't know. Love your dedication to her. ;-)
