Amazing singer and songwriter... but i still can't understand why he turned to a religion so reactionary and backward that forces women to cover up even their hair, worship a meteorite in a country were people are publicly put to death by the sword, fanaticizes people so much that they hijack airplanes and demolish the twin towers... i don't know, but it seems to me that if religion is the OPIUM of the people, ISLAM is the HEROIN !

@mshisha007 I have a translated in greek copy of the Quran and read quite a bit of it... not the whole... BUT in any case i don't think it  is a very tolerant book... and neither is the Bible by the way. However even if i am partially wrong about it the fact remains that ISLAMIC REGIMES do EXIST and people are oppressed in the name of the Prophet in countries like IRAN and S. ARABIA which by the way is and has always been far worse than IRAN.

Yusuf Islam drops Islam from his name

Yusuf Islams web page you can read him saying why he has dropped Islam From His Stage Name and that he will not wear islamic clothes or a turban and that he regrets being a conformist to the islamic crowd when he first converted. We are seeing the true Cat Stevens near the end of his life now understand that death threats and islamic fundamentals are anti human and not God he is changing he was great he can be great again
