  • how do u say that a pigeon has a long distance line? can u tel me the secret?

  • @jogster16

Hello, there is no secret. The long distance strains are vanWanroy and Aarden.

The only secret is the BASKET and the pigeon.

The basket brings the pigeon to the liberationspot and the pigeon wil let you know if he can race long distance by coming home early !!!!!

What I want to tell is: Try and find out!!! The basket is the best teacher.

  • cool video pigeons are amazing birds ;)

    Paris Lo in las vegas

  • Thanks for the compliments.

Those pigeons are from the best strains for the extreme long distance in the world.

Most originals from Jan Theelen !!!!

  • hello frans i want to improve my janssen line what breed are available sir? while breed my old mercx and vanloon (rocket grandson)both eyes are red color. offspring always red eye or orange only one time 1 offspring came out bright violet /purple color eye. he is fast on a bright day and late on smash or bad weather. should i make him a breeder rather than racer? hope u could give me some advice thank you

  • Dear Mister,

It is world wide know that Janssen birds (short-middle distance ) are CLEAR weather racers. In that you are correct!!!!! But to improve this birds, I don't know. The pigeons of mine are long distance racers and race almost under each weather circumstance.

I think that you must race such a pigeon when you know that the wetter is going to be good.!!!

But breed as much youngsters wich different partners and time will learn.

    Succes

  • très bien bravo

  • Hello Mike,

At this moment I have NO pigeons available for sale. Perhaps later on this year. Sorry. Feel free to view my website.

    regards, Frans

  • nice video, excellent birds!

  • Hello my friend, how are you and your pigeons doing?

i just thought of giving u a heads up to my pigeons now. i tried following your basis in chosing a pigeon. "pearshaped, small but with huge wings". and yeah.. its working for me. ive won 6 of 7 1-on-1 sprint races so far.

anyways, just wanted to ask you, how to you train to trap YB's and what food do u feed them?

hoping for a reply from a good mentor.. :)

    sincerely,

    kevin

  • Hello Kevin, with me and the pigeon is all oké. Training for the YB starts at 5 miles. then 7, 10, 15, 25, 50, and so on. When it's possible do that every day for a few weeks. Then they are ready for the competitions against other pigeons.

  • The grains that I give are from Mariman ( Breeding )en Versele Laga ( Gerry + )

Those 2 bags I mix with eachother.

30 grams a pigeon every day (about two spoons ) Make sure that they stay a little bit hungry. Then they train/exercise the best arround yor loft.

They must be in shape to win.

    Succes, Frans

  • yes, i am also training my pigeons for 1 straight month now with increasing miles per toss.

im not very familiar with the food u give. but is it true that you should give them protein rich food or calorie rich food?

  • super

  • Mr Frans, its true that large wing and muscular, while the primary flights are very long and thin. There is more than a half inch step between the primary and secondary flights. The wing butts are thick and, holds them slightly away from the body while he is standing..its for lng distance bird......mla,PHILS.

  • wish you have used a colored video instead of a black and white one so i could get a better look of the eyes. anyways, so what is your basis in determining if your pigeon can withstand long distance tosses?

  • Hello Kevin, Yes, I heard your wish several times. Nex movie will be one. In answer to your question: The pigeon should be formed like a pear. small with hughe wings. Almost al my pigeons I purchased from the famous fancier Jan Theelen. He is specialist on the extreme long distance and won the 1st Internat.Barcelona.

So, those purchases must be a quarantee to succes. Many people over the world race with my pigeons and are even more succesfull on races then I am. Among them 1st prize winners.

  • hello Frans, i guess when you choose your pigeons, you base them by their bloodlines. i guess thats the professional way to do it. but here in the philippines, few are able to afford pigeons with champion bloodlines, most of us experiment and start our own type of bloodlines here by choosing and pairing up the best pigeons we have basing them by eye sings. hehe. you are so lucky to afford those pigeons. the most expensive one i have is a belgian and a taiwan both not full blooded ones. =D

  • Hello Kevin, Yes I know that I'm a lucky guy. I have also to work hard to save some money so that I can afford them. But in my eyes ( and from many others) those are the best for the extreme long distance. The bloodlines on my loft almost all go back to the famous "Vale Marathon" and "Beroemde 10".

Anita and I whis lots off succes to you for the upcoming season. Feel free to visit my website. Yours in sport, Frans

  • hello Frans, i would like to visit your website. will you please send me the address to your website so i could learn more about your style of pigeon racing. i will be joining a local club near my place next year, and i think with your help i can be one of those exceptional racers around here.. =D

    thanks in advance Frans.

  • beautiful racig pigeons.. schone breftaube.. kompliment.

  • Great promo :)

  • Booo! that video had no info to help me with long distance racing. Saying that I have the birds that can do up to 700 miles.

  • Boooo ??????

Can't remember that you send me a mail to ask about long distance.

Ges that you haven't looked at my website !!!!

If you have, then send me your questions.

    regards, Frans

  • I'm so glad there are still breeders/flyers who breed for distance and homing ability and not just for the sprint races. Seeing my first bird come back from over 500 miles as a boy hooked me for life into distance pigeons.

  • extremly wonderful loft. i like it. incase someone out there wants to buy homing pigeons i got some for sale

  • nice i used to keep the pigeon, but sadly due to a circumstances i cant control, they be destroyed for a reason. take the care of those pigeon, i like them. yes

  • Also Thanks for your kind words.

Sorry to hear that here are circumstances that you can not keep any pigeons.

Hope that there in the future wil be other days that you can.

    Regards, Frans

  • yes super

  • youve got a nice loft! I would like to try your birds here in the philippines, How can I get a pair?

  • Hello overthere in the Phillipines. Pigeons from Holland across the ocean is very expensive.

    I don't think that it's worth it.

Try to breed as many as you can (what fits into you loft !!! HA HA ) And give them as much as you can on several races.

The basket is the only selection to good racing pigeons. When you hold the 2 best out of 100.

Then you are making good progress.

Succes and the best regards to your family, Frans

    The Dutch fancier.

  • Thanks Frans!

  • Thanks for your kind words.

  • Great promo :) lol

  • hope in the future i can become a racing loft master like you.
