  • can you get this on mp3

  • thanks for the post. hard to explain to anyone what the times were like then; not good. but great rock songs/ albums came out then.

  • cool

  • this is the best!!!!!!! love it like to much! if there is such thing , for alice! hahaa

    xXx

  • Fantastic! Alice is the best!

  • way underrated. top notch rock n roll baby

  • "Love it to Death" is one of the greatest rock albums of all time!

  • you bet it is !

  • the real band is b,d,b,s, god love em

  • Fantastico, unico,LO MeJOR, mi epoca favorita de alice, gracias por ese video!

  • Alice Cooper was my first concert in 1971. It took place at a small college in Lebanon, PA. I was very close to the stage and his band performed a memorable concert. I remember the ticket price was only $4.00 at that time.

  • What NJ night club was this? Great vintage footage of Legends.

  • I remember the Alice Cooper group on the cover of CIRCUS magazine back in the early 70's and already in my eyes, they were rock Gods in glitter suites. However, they were excellent musicians and they possessed great showmanship to back up that image. It appears in the video they're playing for maybe 50 people, so, what a treat for those few lucky bastards to have this memory. I only had the pages of a magazine but still, the music impacted me as a young lad. Thanks, Alice.

  • johngolby- I don't think it was the biggest mistakes in rock music. Alice is the king of shock rock because of it, and the Welcome to my Nightmare album/tour was another result.

It was a shame..but everything happens for a reason. And Alice is still rocking, so Im happy. :)

BTW, I don't think it was just Alice who splitted. The band wanted to concentrate on the music, Alice wanted more theatrics.

  • Fair comment & I did forget about Welcome To My Nightmare which still stands up as a great album. Perhaps biggest mistake was a bit strong but it was/is a real shame.take care, johngolby

  • Not true.

  • @boocat2426 Is so!

  • To Dannorama: Don't be so sure that this is a NJ club, for my research has revealed that the club it was often rumored to be wasn't even opened until several years after this clip was filmed.

To MusicJunkee: You really should refer to the Alice Cooper of this period as "they" not "he".

To johngolby: WB does not own this footage. I believe the whole show was filmed, but only one of the reels has shown up. Rumor is the filmer kept his film to himself, but accidentally left this reel behind.

  • montiac1 - thanks for that, that would make sense as it is odd that this period of footage just isn't coming out. I believe a complete gig was filmed in Canada but so far only 4mins have surfaced(Killer), that was shown on the OGWT in 72 and has not been seen since.Talk about frustrating !johngolby

  • There was a Canadian TV segment from '72, but it wasn't for OGWT. Filmed for the Canadian Board of something or another... I forget offhand and am not going to go look it up right now. It's not unusual for such TV segments to only film small portions of a show to get their story.

  • No it wasn't for the OGWT but was shown on that programme along with an interview broadcast in the spring of '72 to give people a view of what the band were about, it has never been repeated which is a shame as it was pretty cool.I would love to see it turn up on You Tube.As far as I can make out some shows on the killer tour were filmed on video for a possible release when the band were off the road. I've also read Warners are just not interested in doing anything with it. johngolby

  • PS Your Michael Bruce footage is great, too bad Alice split from the rest of the band, one of the biggest mistakes in rock music. johngolby

  • The real stuff that the fans from the classic period want - shame that Warners can't figure it out and put this on a dvd instead if keeping it hidden in a vault. johngolby

  • Great early rare Alice Cooper stuff! He was just taking the world by storm.

  • S T U N N I N G !

  • Cool! Should be in the RnR Hall of Fame, Oh That's right that phony org won't vote in Alice!

  • Alice Cooper Group > Alice Cooper

Alice is a P.O.S without Alice Cooper Group!!

  • I sure as hell don't agree with the last line in your post, but I agree that the Alice Cooper group was good as well. I say we put them both in the HoF. :)

  • The audio isn't stellar, but it's rarity more than makes up for it.

  • I went from listening to old country and western to Alice Cooper way back when. So trashy and mean sounding, the whole band could rock. Get all their early stuff!

  • Kick arse...

  • When peace and love was the norm....then there's ALICE! Take that DEAD!!!

  • Wow, great old video. These guys were way out there. Thanks for the view.

  • I seriously think this is the best video I've ever seen. thanks a billion!

  • Love it To Death! Thanks Danno!

  • Wow, really rare. Great!

  • Amazing. Thanks!
