@bst8035 no, but the microphones are. what i'm trying to say: concerts are never unplugged, they always use amps and stuff (off course, otherwise no one could hear them). you're right, the instruments are unplugged, but at the end it's all the same thing... that's how I see it.

@tradfan - you mean the 6 string banjo ( banjitar)? since he usually played this song on a guitar, using a 6 string banjo tuned like a guitar prob. made it easier for him to get that banjo sound he wanted - just a guess!! sounds good, don't ya think?
awesome performance! i just love @3:44 when tony reacts to the chord he played!!! lynn, thnx for posting
Belongs to my absolute favorite songs of the Hollies. I also like this video: really wittily done - one notices which fun the band had with the video recordings of this acoustic session. It is worthwhile to adopt sometimes the text: the day of the Last Judgement is - if one exactly takes it sometimes - unfortunately, no bare imagination. Lots of love from Germany.
These days singers can't even perform their songs live because of all the "help" they get in the studio... but these guys sound even better live than on the studio version.
This movie is awesome because we can hear real live performance and they play one of my favorite songs of theirs. I've never imagined it was playd by the banjo!!! Great movie! Additionally, I heard Allan talk on the stage for the first time.
Great song...was it on any US records? I had never heard it before and I have most all the US releases. It once again makes me yearn for 1965-68 when the Clarke-Hicks-Nash hit making machine was at their peak. Thanks for sharing.
All that TALENT!!!.....and funny to boot!! ...congradulations on the nomination to the RRHOF....tks. to YouTube..we get to watch and hear this AWESOME group..any time we want... tks. for posting!
Sounds SO awesome! I love it with the banjo too. Tony is so adorable and so talented. They sounded great together. I love the bit of humor at the beginning.
They did a great job on this. It actually sounds really neat with the banjo, and that sorta solo bit with Tony's banjo was really very cool. Allan's voice is so smooth. I love it.
That was wonderful! Excellent live performance of a great song. Allan's vocal was outstanding again. Graham and Tony were terrific. Thanks for posting this gem.
Thank you for uploading this! This is classic footage of the Hollies. It is fantastic seeing one of Graham's last performances with the group until he joined them briefly years later. Thanks again, Ron
muito engraçada a introdução do vídeo e a voz do Allan Clarke é magnífica assim como o homem. Obrigada, muito obrigada por postar essa jóia de vídeo ForCertainBecause
Thanks for putting this up, Lynn! This is a one-of-a-kind live performance as only the Hollies can do. Allan's introductions are hilarious, especially when they start clapping during Tony and Graham's parts. Allan's voice is stunning and electrifying, as is the man himself!
Allan Clarke great voice and perfect vocals as always!

Is it my imagination or did Nash sport himself a nifty Hitler mustache during this period of time?
