@pandaman2105 It's nothing that amazing realy. In order to get a sound out of the instrument you would have to run the bow perpendicular (side to side) to the string. At 0:57 they simply run the bow parallel (up and down) to the string, no sound comes out except for a squeek caused by the rosin on the bow. It is used as a percussion effect (kind of like the hooves of many horses hitting the ground)

I think Mr Chen Jun must have inserted some parts of "Zhan Ma Ben Teng" into this arrangement of Sai Ma. Like the effects of the horses galloping and the neighing are not in the original arrangment of Sai Ma, but is a hallmark of Zhan Ma Ben Teng.
