a very beautiful song -- I went to his concert here in melb last year -- It was the first time I had heard it -- i lost it , had watery eyes --- And I bnought the video --thanks so much for posting
I think the videao is from "I love You".....which is a nice song too.
I have just "discovered" Cliff now (as an american where he was not popular in the US). He is good, but I just can't admit anyone is better than the Beatles, oh well..........
Oh for a return to a Britain of young Cliff Richard. A Britain before the Fall, when a pound was a pound, when there was respect and simple pleasures and our parents looked after us well.
Yes there were hard times, but rather that than the X Factor illusion of instant riches and fame. Now just look at what Britain has become.
The 1950s and 1960s are the times I dream of most and wish we could return to. Next Time is a eulogy for them and it makes me very sad indeed.
Cliff's not exactly the most talented of musicians, x factors crap but compared to most musicians he doesnt have a clue, jus good looks an an ok voice.
Britain hasnt gone down the pan, we've got a great welfare system and your not likely to die from minor diseases like in the 50's, it's fairer than your 50's an 60's so ill keep the present cheers.
It's the media an the parents that paint such a bleak picture of the country, jus cause its not typical "britain" anymore doesnt mean its worse.
I had to make it fit inside the boxes. You understood everything I said and this is'nt an essay so i'm not under any obligation to spell correctly so if i want to type quicker then i will.
Lol, hospitals were just as contaminated, your all just more paranoid cause of what the media puts out. Stop complaning, we live in a really fair society now and there are problems today but it's progressed so much.
In the 1950's people who had been brought up from the Victorian period to the Edwardian would be shocked by the youth of the 50's. It has always happened, no period is perfect, and people always say previous days were better.
Yes, they have always said that, but they have said it for a reason. You would have to have lived back then. You're looking at it from a different view, and back then you didn't miss what you never had. You can point to improvements, but the question is, what has happened to basic values? I could spend a long time listing how so-called progress has been offset by actual regression.
Your not getting my point lol. Your saying it's regression but someone from the 1600's would say we've regressed when clearly we havent.
Just because you or anyone else misses something they lost from the past doesnt mean it should slow the advancements of others.
Basic values are home taught, not taught in schools. Most kids have good values and are good people and anyway your values are based on the culture you live in. Your values could offend someone from another country.
The 60's you had hippies, kid's that were layabouts smoking pot and never working.
In the 50's you had groups like the Teddy boys who were, in essence a gang. Gang culture is'nt new as you would probably make out. Is that your Basic values?

This is probably one of the best songs he recorded during the 60s. Greatly underrated.

I'm pointing out the differences with the 50s and 60s, when there would have been an obligation to spell correctly.
And true, they couldn't cure everything back then, but at least you came out of hospital with the same disease you went in with.
