it's in Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling - at 1:35 with a deep underhook - it's a neck crank or variation single hand chancery - Tito's just sprawling with it while he's doing it... you also see a CACC Half Haltch at 0:40 (deep underhook with left hand grabbing the lat, spine, or opposite lat) and especially at 2:50 - with the twist (or ground "pivot" if you will) portion at the end. It looks NEW but it's really old school with some clever variations by Tito.
The double leg is what i have ben doing and when i do it he drops all his weight on me by falling on top and then gut wretching me. How can i take him down with out having him fall on me, he is fast enough to be able to sprawl and drop his weight on me and i know there is a way to get around all that i just cant think of it.
I saw Jim Arvanitis use a Belgian takedown to counter the sprawl. He came it with the DL and then spun to one side dropping to his knee and hit the Belgian. A Belgian is simply pulling the ankles back and dropping the guy on his face.
@flute2play you could try to set up the shot too... For example... What I like to do is reach out like im going to tie up with them... snap their head down and if they aggressively try to pull back up... its when they pull back up (pulls them out of balance) thats when you shoot... and dont just dive at his legs... try to change levels/angles and try to get him uncomfortable and off balance
look at the head comparison damn no wonders no one can knock tito out

If headbutts were legal in mma,tito would be world champion.

Is this allowed in Folkstyle? cuz it lookes like you're choking them when your pulling them back after the snapdown

he could easily set up a neck crank from that reverse headlock if he just sweeps is back leg around.

what would be some good muscles to work out for this ?
dgwear69 2 years ago
I'd say calves, core (lower back and abs,) and forearms. But you should train them all of course.

@flute2play: Outside single leg.
blazingsprocket 2 years ago
@flute2play Do an outside single, then trip him, fall down with him. There you go.

@flute2play do it fast enough and you won't have to worry about that.

hello,
How would you suggest taking someone down with a wrestling move if they are a half a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier

double leg

@flute2play then u'd have better luck with judo, where leverage is emphasized over strength....use his strength against him...
