Mazda's road was never a smooth one, but they have triumphed and found a very loyal fan base. I had a total of 4 Rx-7's. I now own a 91' Convertible. Oh Yeah!!
I knew as soon as I saw the display that this was a rare chance to see all these classic Rotary Mazdas in one place at a show...Very cool opportunity...I really enjoyed seeing all these great Mazdas!
I am from PR, all the people said the wankel is the same rotary engine that the renesis, but the wankel is more strong and also is a classic, renesis is modern and is not strong. Both have a little difference, renesis has the MSP... somethig like that.. but renesis?? renesis is for lil kids... wankel is for mens...
Good question...There was an RX-8 concept near this lineup but not in it...Checkout the "Video Response" I posted above...I made a separate video for the RX-8 concept.
Very nice video. What a wonderful display of rare rotary classics. I am an owner of a 1974 Mazda RX-4,the car that introduced the 13b power plant,(80ci) of terror. I am very surprised not to see it in this line up. I know the dry weight is heavier than the other models, but it should be recognized more because of its aggressive lines and stance, and muscle car like appearance as well as its highly praised 13b engine that is all the rave in RX-7's and other cars during rebuilds and drag races.
Yeah...There should have been a few other rotary classics in that lineup but maybe Mazda was limited by space and or the other classics were in use somewhere else..?
Congrats on the RX-4...Do you have any videos of it online?
Brilliant video. Good music and great lineup of cars. Nice to see nearly all of Mazda's Rotary engined classics in one place. No Eunos Cosmo though. I like that gold one(Savanna GT?)That LUCE Rotary Coupe is also very nice. Superb vid. Thank you for posting this.
Yeah...They should have had the Eunos Cosmo in the line-up...Especially the 20B version.
That said...All these Rotary Mazdas are super cool in their own way...It was great to see them all lined-up like that...I wonder if they will do such a display this year as well..?
Thank you once again for your kind feedback and for watching my vids! :D
Ps...I really dig the original Cosmo and the LUCE coupe...;)
Yea stopping without the Rx8 was foolish mistake. The same designer for gen 1 2 3 RX7 design rx8 and the motor is a ported 13b (same motor).

@BerettaTV wrong, just a one of each so dumber people can study a power that thy are not able to harness. =)
They are simply there because they are such a big motoring icon. ;)

Felix Wankel is the name of the man who designed the rotary engine. All rotaries are "wankel". Even the NSU ones.
What happened to the RX4 and RX6?

Good question...Seems Mazda chose to showcase some of their most popular (or well known) Rotary models...Wish they included a Eunos Cosmo as well.
Thanks for watching! :D
