Here's a nice scientific way to tell: 1) Fill a container with water to the brim 2) Weigh the dry sample in grams 3) Place the gold/silver/platinum sample in the water Now: Get the displaced amount of water (the water that poured out) and measure it in mL. Divide the weight by the volume of water. DENSITIES: Gold: 19.3 g/mL Silver: 10.5g/mL Platinum: 21.45g/mL If the answer you get is close, then it is (most probably) genuine, the reason being the density of lead is 11.34g/mL (quite different).

What about the Scottsdale Stacker Silver 10oz Bar, it is machined(instead of cast) and is ISO 9001-2000 Certified? Also what about 1oz bars out of plastic and those that are sealed in plastic from the minter? Thanks for the informative video and answering questions.

Scottsdale Stackers are very solid because they have incredible details (ridges on the sides even) and the swirl pattern on the reverse. If anyone tried to touch the bar it would be obvious. 1 ounce in plastic? 1 ouncers are next to impossible due to cost associated and the size/density/ping test. I get all my silver from Scottsdale now by the way.

Copper rings, Steel Rings, many metals ring. The Ring test is somthing dumbasses do. its a 3rd rate test. Many people have cut there pure bars open thinking there fake cause of the no ring.
