I am a fan of Crimson Skies as well ! :-) I even created a series of short stories with a similiar basic premise - the only difference is the setting : Slovakia shattered into quareling little states between the two World Wars. Wacky ? No ! It works great ! :-)

Last Exile was...amazing. The creators are genius and the animators very skilled. Too bad there are no more episodes.

When I saw the anime Last Exile I knew I had to do something with Skies of Arcadia. Last Exile is also one of my favorite anime.
