KMB did u see Oliver blow away the field winning in 12.93??????? And he hit the first hurdle.

KMB Fran came through in the 400 I thought she was going to get caught from behind by Beard but she had enough left over in the tank to fight Jessica off to win in 50.69.

KMB check it out a guy from my backyard of (NJ) Robby Andrews running for Virginia ran a 1:45.54 in his 800 heat and its the third best effort by a teenager ever he's a FROSH!!!!!!!!!!

KMB the girl named Francena I mentioned was Francena McCorory from Hampton she's the current two indoor NCAA 400 Queen and holds the new American Indoor mark of 50.54.She was a high school hot shot from Va she holds the indoor high school 400 mark of 51.93 it was good enough to have won the NCAA title in '06 indoors!!!!!!!!!!!! Big schools galore wanted her including UCLA,USC,Texas,Tennessee I think.Also we struck a home run with David as well.

Hey KMB if this young girl makes it to the 400m finals look out for a another Soph named Amara Jones a 5-10 AMAZON from Savannah(Ga.) St another member of the hbcu family in the women's 400 she qualified with a school mark of 53.01.Next year her school joins the MEAC and she's going to be tough to beat if she keeps running the way she does,I think she could be the eventual successor for Fran.

KMB I think history could be made in the men's 100m with a all SOPHOMORE FINAL.What about u and one of those soph's is a NJ native Reggie Dixon from Plainfield last year he was the only frosh that made the 100m final he clocked a 10.18 in the East Regionals.

@dal4018 It looks like Demps of Fl is poised to take the century. But, maybe an upset, liike Dixon, is in store. We'll see. Demps should be running at least a 9.88 with his talent. I think football has gotten in the way of he truly bustin out. I wish all the athletes well. I wish that HBCUs would go after the top talent, like Tenn St did, back in the day. They should offer the athletes scholarships for undergrad & grad degrees. Huh, there's an idea.

@kmb9624 Yes it looks like Demps will take the 100 maybe he'll go a sub 10 I hope my guy Dixon runs a low 10 to put himself in the MEAC record book.Unfortunately the top talent heads for places like Bruin or Trojan country but thanks for the love sir we get by with finding diamonds in the rough but we occasionally score home runs with Francena.

@kmb9624 So am I I look out for the folks from the hbcu's the black colleges and all seeing as how I attended one briefly North Carolina Central back in the 80's.I hope Francena McCorory of Hampton gets some payback from Jo Anne Atkins of Auburn in the women's 400 and hopefully set a new NCAA mark in the process.

Hey KMB check out track and field news for the high school ranks soon as possible their should be a whole slew of NJ folks in the prep ranks.One guy named Michael Shuler-Foster of Long Branch HS won the NJSIAA 100M state title in 10.39 and that was good enough for him to qualify for the Division 1 Nationals and best of all he's just a SOPHOMORE or go to DYESTAT.

KMB your right I think Oliver right now is the best bet we have to get back the WR mark for the 110mh but I would rule out the other American hurdlers like Trammell,Allen Johnson and the like.

@kmb9624 Yes Dominque couldn't stay injury free and that was his problem but we have other young hurdlers that are up and coming besides Oliver.Check out a guy in the college ranks Ronnie Ash he runs for Oklahoma but he used to run for Bethune Cookman College a member of the black college family he won his first NCAA title as a sophomore indoor then he won outdoors.Also there is a white guy named Barret Nugent from LSU he's the great white hope and he's got skills to back it up.

@kmb9624 I agree KMB he does remind me of a young Greg Foster and he has the exact same build just like a legit NFL WR the only difference is Foster had more basic foot speed.Foster was a NCAA outdoor 200M champ with a time of 20.36 while at UCLA.

@dal4018 Naw Holmes, I ain't kiddin' u. They used to be an item fo a minute before she hooked up wit' her hubby Al Joyner. She hooked up wit' Joyner, I believe, right after the '84 Games as Al won the Oly gold TJ & Dee Dee, as Flojo was called by most back in the day, won the 200m silver medal behind Valerie Brisco. She didn't have a rep for ho'in & she tended to keep to herself.

@kmb9624 Hey u will not get a argument from me about folks from Cali but hey I like to say NJ is the "Seabiscuit" of high school track we may be small but we can hang with the big states like yours and Texas.We also claim another Olympian Eulace Peacock just last week a guy from my backyard named Chris Crawford broke his Gr.II state mark in the boys long jump the mark was 24-4 1/2 now its 24-9 1/2 the mark stood FOR 7DECADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ZenmaNinja He was a All-America at Howard University in '04 he made the indoor NCAA finals and finished 4th overall.He has a websit e as well.
