@TheJokerWolf you should watch yourself there buddy. metal gear began on NINTENDO, not playstation. i also believe there was a metal gear solid game released on the original xbox(metal gear solid 2: substance i believe.) while i'd prefer it to stay ps3 exclusive, it being released on 360 doesn't really bother me that much (unless the bs that happened with ff13 happens with this game as well.) also, from what i understand this game can still be played stealthily. it is not just an a action game.

@LonexRiderxgamer depends since the game is coming out on the 360 as well. i am sure they will explain most of the stuff pretty well, but mgs is known for its extremely detailed story telling. i recommend you play the previous installments before this one, but you can probably play this one right off the bat without much knowledge of the story surrounding it. it would be a shame though. the mgs series is fantastic and this new game does not capture what the previous installments emphasized.
