  • 1:04 is Norbert Stachel really playing it, he's my favorite besides Lenny Pickett. He looks like he could do it in his sleep. to 1:43, and he ends it and it is dynamite.

  • Doc K. is wearing long baggy pants, Norbert Stachel turns his saxophone out which is stupid.

  • WOW I FEEEELLLLL This ll Over

  • these guys are TIGHT!!

  • Yeah. Let me add the rest of the band.

    T.O.P. HORNS.

Together, this is an unbeatable combination.

This video gives everyone an idea of the real basis for the band.

    Emilio...you get the credit, baby.

  • I love you, Tower of Power!

  • And.. "soul vaccination... keeps you from catchin' HONKY POX! (Honky Pox)"

If anything, Tower of Power wants you to catch Funky pox.

Always the greatest musicians in TOP, From the 1960's until today. See them in concert and you'll be hooked and vaccinated.

  • great musicians.

  • the words are "soul vaccination..keeps you from getting the FUNKY pox". I am absolutely positive.

  • That tenor sax solo is amazing. I play tenor, and it just blows my mind to hear him go up into the altissimo range like it's nothing. Those aren't real notes!

  • "soul vaccination....keeps you from gettng honky pox....honky poxxxx"......FANTASTIC!

  • Nobody is interested how they looks like. It's just music!

  • im 13 and my band teacher recommended this band to listen for the Bari, and im glad he did, i now realize my low horn is a force to be reckoned with, not just a filler

  • now THIS is talent!

  • If anyone ever wondered "What is hip?"... This is!

    Great post!

  • hello teacher, first congratulations on the interpretation on the saxophone. I play alto saxophone, but I have really wanted to play baritone saxophone, just that I have a baritone sax. hopefully you can give me one. thank you very much. Congratulations. God bless.

  • i love to hear the bari, loud and funky, the foundation of any good horn section.

  • Yeah I dont think the baritone sounds bad, dont mistake bad with powerful although I like Hammiett Bluiett better

  • That is the baddest ass power horn, it deserves all the volume!

  • That is the baddest ass power horn, it deserve all the volume!

  • なにこれやヴぁいwwwwwwwwwwwうはーー!!!!!!!!!

  • @ ciphertext01 It's because nobody wants to see this live man.... Plus us horns don't get paid. Gotta pay the bills man.

  • damn nice!

  • incredeble high tones from the tenor sax!

    Ins't it a soprano?^^

  • @Sax4565 nah it's a tenor he is just a monster

  • Comment removed

  • hermoso...simplemente espectacular...

  • It is a shame that we don't see more music made with musicians like the TOP-Horns, these days.

  • THE " REAL TIME" = REALITY OF THE VOLUME LIVE IS HERE THE Bari is.

THIS AIN'T NO CLASS ROOM BAND,Its real stuff. The kids need to hear more of this.

Its what pros do daily and contend with from clubs to ball park stadiums.

    Doc sounds great.

  • lol I'll show him this, he'd like that

    Doc's my dad btw

  • TOP horns Enough said

  • awesome. i'm gonna break out my horn..... been a guitar player for too long!

  • Really great to hear just the horn section, yeah can really hear how clever the grooves Garabaldi thinks up are, everything just fits together! Nothing is done without reason!

  • The barisax can never be too loud, unless it's a crappy player. And Doc ain't no crappy player!

  • @humboltz I like this

  • When a horn section by itself can make the tune like here, you know its MENTAL!!!

  • And,

    0.54.

  • Ahhh....Norbert I love you! He is such a great player and a really cool cat too. Was this at a college?

It's eye opening to hear just the horns, I saw them in sound check a few times and was totally blown away by how much SOUND they produce.

  • Man thats one kick ass solo!!

We're playing this at college, it's so awesome!

  • This is impressive!!! And anyone who plays a musical instrument will say the same thing. To be able to reach that range alone is nothing short of amazing. They make that look so easy, and it's not, and this cut is off an album, that is one of those album where everything on it is great. I forgot just how powerful that horn section is. Nice post!

  • Einfach nur: geil!

  • dammitt this horn section is good!!!! and not bad at singing either.

  • Great to hear them 'unplugged'. They don't need to be wired to deliver it.

  • now THAT'S a horn section!

  • Awesome!!

  • trumpet is kinda sloppy...but ToP still kicks ass!

  • I doubt that. Sounds clean to me. That's Adolfo Acosta. Played lead for Maynard. My former teacher played with both Adolfo and Englebright at UNT back when he was there. He said they both played effortlessly.

  • L to R; Adolfo Acosta (Tpt), Mike Bogart (Tpt/Tbn), Stephen 'Doc' Kupka (Bari), Norbert Sachel (Tenor), Emilio Castillo (Tenor)

  • Can someone name these guys from right to left?

  • Doc Kupka & Francis Rocco Prestia are the BASS MASTERS!!!

  • Fantastic!

    Power Ultra Mega Giga Tera!!!!

  • Interesting. What was the occasion?

  • Damn!

  • yea i definitely agree...too bad he left the group to play wit pink floyd....im not much of a fan of tom politzer, his replacement

  • norbert stachel is the best!!

  • yes! this is the video i was lookin for
