I went to Cruefest 2 in Dallas and at the time I was more of a Crue fan than a Godsmack fan(that has changed), but Godsmack sounded a lot better and they got a much better reaction. Drowning Pool got a huge reaction too since they're from here

I went to the tour and Godsmack was great as they always are. Crue came out and sounded horrible so I left a couple of songs into their set. Bunch of old drama queens with botox and egos who haven't been relevant for 20 years.

I was at cruefest in 2010 and it wasn't even close. Godsmack blew motley crud away!!!!!! Vince couldn't even hit half of the notes anymore, mick looked like death warmed over. Tommy and nikki were the only 2 bright spots of the show. I would see godsmack over and over and over again. I wouldn't go see motley joke again if i was paid to !!!!

here's the reality. back in 1976 to 1977..the band Journey was backing up Van Halen on their tours. Within a year or so..they were able to go on there own..Journey made it astronomically huge..and that was it. You cant compare motley crew to godsmack. Crue filled up the stadiums and made the real BIG money. What are you gonna do? have godsmack back up Chicago or Van Halen and say the same thing? I went to Cruefest 2 in Dallas and at the time I was more of a Crue fan than a Godsmack fan(that has changed), but Godsmack sounded a lot better and they got a much better reaction. Drowning Pool got a huge reaction too since they're from here

I was at cruefest in 2010 and it wasn't even close. Godsmack blew motley crud away!!!!!! Vince couldn't even hit half of the notes anymore, mick looked like death warmed over. however you cant necessarily use album sales all the timeto compare "whos better". im more of a crue fan than godsmack, and sure motley crue has sold more, but they've been around longer...and got to cash in on the whole 80s glam period, which really helped fuel their success.
using album sales will help all those dam teenboppers argue that all the boybands of the late 90s was "superior" music, or lady gaga and all the other shit pop acts of today... just cuz they sold a lot.

motley fukin crue............. they may have been glam...but they werent pansies like all the other 80s glam rock acts. You can kick someones ass with their music
on a side note i got nothing against glam...i think metal in most all its forms fukin kicks ass (whether its classic, thrash,brit, glam ,etc)
