@AkayukiSan They're CG rendered cutscenes. There's someone who uploaded all the cutscenes (non-CG rendered ones as well) from the game if you look a bit on Youtube. Basically, it just goes to show how video and computer games are slowly merging into the film industry by becoming much more cinematic in terms of storytelling. It's about 1 to 2 hour film material or so, actually.

Angeal's voice is Kakashi off of naruto. I love the japanese voices, the english voices ALWAYS fail lol especially when they try to throw country voices or british voices in lol

@JtotheS09 I agree with you that English accents often ruin it. I for example think the way Cloud's English voice actor portrays Cloud is completely different to his Japanese version. The American accent in particular adds this very odd "I'm so cool and awesome" effect and I just don't think it fits. Also, English pronounciation of Japanese names is horrible most of the game. The only instance I find I can ignore that is FLCL.

@Archedgar Agreed, Sephiroth didn't even put his 100% into the fight. All the way up until 3:00 he had his "Chilling-Out -Mode". After 3:03 he activated his "Mister Nice Guy -Mode". And that's when the place is falling apart already.

Compare as Genesis uses his strong strike at 1:52, he manages to barely dent the surface of that ginormous cannon, whereas Sephiroth cuts right through it like it was paper and cardboard.

With Cloud in Advent Children at least he sometimes used two, but even then...have you noticed that Sephiroth never seems to really put any real effort into fighting? I want to see him get REALLY pissed lol

Ah, one last comment - I think my favorite scene in this version is when Sephiroth sinks below the fight plane with that perfectly calm "ah, see you later" look on his face, then YAAAAHHHHHH, there goes the scenery. He's at his most dangerous when he's at his calmest.

Thx, GBCiscool. I find the Japanese voice for Sephiroth, indeed for all three, so much more appropriate...too bad the Japanese voice actors couldn't do the English as well. The English voices all sound so much...smaller, reedier, in comparison. They don't have the same depth. And it has always bothered me that there's such a disconnect between Sephiroth's voice and his images in the English version. He sounds kind of smarmy in English.

@Hikarisetsuna No, that was a fansub error. The word for painful is 'kurushii', and the word for 'accurate/knowledgeable' is 'kuwashii'. His pronunciation is very clearly 'kuwashii', and the Japanese subtitles also say 詳しい (kuwashii). Cloud uses this same word when speaking to Vincent in AC about the SHM.

Plus, if the line was 'It's painful' rather than 'You know it well', then Sephiroth's response of 'When I hear it every day, I have no choice but to memorize it' doesn't make as much sense.
